Pixi Mattelustre Lipstick Review:

I got some more Pixi goodness for you glamour babes! Have you tried any of the Mattelustre Lipsticks? You haven’t? Then you must. I received a few from Pixi as samples for testing purposes, and they’re really nice.

Pixi’s Mattelustre Lipstick ($12.00 0.17 oz.) comes available in twelve shades ranging in coral, pinks, nudes, and reds. The selection of colors will compliment every skin tone beautifully. They’re pretty vibrant.

I was sent three lovely shades-Bitten Rose, Rose Naturalle, and Peach Blossom.

Bitten Rose is a dusty rose.

Rose Naturalle is a pinkish nude.

Peach Blossom is a corally peach.

The formula has added peptides, hyaluronic acid, and vitamins C and E help to create fuller, smoother looking lips. It is a full coverage lipstick that applies glossy then sets into a demi matte finish, but looks more satin-matte if you ask me. It is lightweight, smooth, slick, comfortable to wear, easy to apply, buildable, pigmented, hydrating, and long lasting.

I didn’t think I was going to like the shades that were sent to me, but surprisingly I do. They are fall weather colors. Something I am embracing more nowadays instead of sticking to my old outmoded ways of thinking. It doesn’t always have to be a red lip. Look Ma, I’m branching out. I needed some time, that’s all. Lol. I highly recommend these three if neutral tones are more your thing. They have just enough vibrancy for your lips to stand out.

Wear time is about 7 hours as it fades into a soft stain. It doesn’t feather or bleed, or transfer when drinking hot or cold beverages. Oily foods will remove the color, but we all know this fun fact don’t we? Lol.

My only issue I had with the Pixi Mattelustre Lipsticks was the taste. It’s on the bitter side. I was hoping it was going to have their signature vanilla mint flavor. Could you bring that back please, Pixi? The bitterness is a little tough to swallow.

Other than that, I love everything about this lipstick.

Be sure to have Santa swing by Pixi Beauty and Target on the way to your houses. The elves will be happy to put a couple of Pixi Mattelustre Lipsticks in your stocking. Unless you are naughty. Then candy coal comes in handy. Lol!

Stay beautiful! Xo.
