Beauty Bakerie So Icy Illuminator Review:

Beauty Bakeries So Icy Illuminator ($32 for 0.46oz) left me feeling a wee bit freezer burned glamour babes. And by freezer burned, I mean frosty and glittery. It was a little much for my taste.

I thought the illuminator was going to be more pearlized when I went by the swatches online. Turns out, it is not.

Iced is a luminous (blinding) white highlighter that has hints of micro fine pink shimmer with a frosted finish. Indoor and Outdoor swatches.

I felt like a walking snow globe as I wore this shade of winter wonderland. I was sparkling from head to toe, and not in a flattering way really. Wearing the So Icy Illuminator made me feel kiddish. Like I was trying too hard to create a incandescent glow. The sparkles is what makes the glow look overwhelming. There was too much churning going on in that tiny ice cream inspired container. I think it would have been a successful treat if that part was taken out of the formulation.

I could deal with a frosted finish. It can sometimes come off as pearlized, depending on the intensity, but those two together only produced a massive glitter bomb on my face. I definitely think that this illuminator is targeted for a much younger crowd.

Complimenting all skin tones. The super finely milled loose powder formula is lightweight, highly pigmented, comfortable to wear, not so easy to apply, blendable, buildable, and has a smooth silky texture.

The loose powder makes a mess of everything. The directions seem pretty simple on the lid. Tap top, open slowly.

Okay, Yup, I followed as directed, and as I tapped ever so gently, illuminator started to shimmy its way outside the lid, and upon opening it, a lovely plume of highlighter dust emerged. Sparkles, sparkles here and there, sparkles, sparkles, everywhere! Including myself. Applying Beauty Bakeries So Icy Illuminator with a brush was no easy task either. The kickback gets allover. Is this an expensive party popper gag that I don’t know about? Lol. It sure felt like it. I found using the flat end of a blending sponge helped prevent a lot of fallout to occur during applications.

The color payoff is alright. I got about 5 hours of wear time before it fully faded away. I did not re-apply. I have an oily t-zone and the shimmer only enhanced my shine, which is something I can do without.

If throwing a glitter party is one of your favorite things to do, then you can grab a pint sized So Icy Illuminator at Asos, Forever21, and BeautyBakerie.com.

I’ll be there. Watching the fun unfold…….That’s if an invitation is extended my way. Hint, hint, wink, wink.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Beauty Bakerie BROWnies (Auburn) Review:

I can’t even begin to tell you how many brow gels, pomades, and pencils (I’m guessing somewhere in the hundreds) I have gone through to find the perfect shade of Auburn, but I think I have finally found the one glamour babes. Beauty Bakerie Brownies Auburn Pomade ($16.00) looks yummy on the brows, and that’s its soul purpose. To make those brows of yours look fleeky deeky. All day, erryday.

Don’t get me wrong, I still have much love for my previous brow pals (NYX, Colourpop, Makeup Revolution) that I reviewed, and they will be my go to’s if need be. It’s just that the BROWnie Pomade has the right amount of red in the formula that I was looking for. I’ve had trouble finding that in a brow product. There is always either too much brown or too much orange, not even red. I couldn’t seem to reach a happy medium, till now. I got 99 problems and my brows ain’t one!

Auburn is the epitome of a reddish brown hue. I’d say its of equal measure too-50/50.
The gel like formulation is incredible. It’s lightweight, creamy, comfortable to wear, glides on easily, water proof, smudge proof, long wearing, blendable, buildable, opaque, and insanely pigmented. I barely dipped my brow brush into the jar and I was able to cover one brow without having to go back in again. This little jar is going nowhere fast, and I ain’t complaining. My brows looked amazing the whole day through with zero smudging or fading!!! You’ll need an oil based makeup remover to remove your impeccable arched brows. They don’t budge without it. Who would of thought baking could be such work? lol. Beauty Bakerie BROWnies are another Holy Grail brow product that’s worth considering. The Kitchen is now serving five scrumptious shades (Brown, Dark Brown, Blonde, Taupe, and Auburn) of power brows. Check em out at BeautyBakerie.com.

Which one are you going to taste?

Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip Review:

Stop whatever it is that you are doing glamour babes, I have something to say-Beauty Bakeries Lip Whip Liquid Lipstick ($20 0.17 oz) is anything but ordinary, it simply takes the cake!
Everyone needs to wrap their lips around this zero calorie, all sweet, vegan friendly treat!

I’ve been dying to try the brands liquid lipstick for ages, so when the right opportunity came my way (Memorial Day Sale! 30% off) I got to cakin.
Initially I did want Cranberry Stiletto (dark berry red), but sadly it sold out by the time I headed to the Beauty Bakerie Website. That doesn’t mean I couldn’t find another shade. Beauty Bakerie has an array of gorgeous colors that will satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth. Mon Cheri did just the thing.

Mon Cheri is a classic beautiful bold red. If you want your lips to stand out, grab this shade. You’ll bring all the boys to the yard. The formulation is lightweight, hydrating, super pigmented, comfortable to wear, easy to apply, does not cake, crack, feather, or bleed, and sets into a lovely matte finish.
I know I have ranted and raved about liquid lipsticks in the before, but this is by far my favorite. I need to own more shades! STAT! The long lasting wear and color payoff has me sold. I now understand Beauty Bakeries hash tag for their lip whips #whatsmudge. They do not smudge, it’s amazing! Eat and drink until your hearts content (avoid oily foods), the color goes nowhere. I literally had Mon Cheri on my lips all day and the color remained truer than true. I’m so impressed by the formulation. What’s your secret Beauty Bakerie? Is it love?! I bet it’s love.
Since the lip color barely moves on its own, you will need an oil based remover. Might I recommend Beauty Bakeries Lip Whip Remover Pads ($14 for 50 wipes)?Seriously, these pads are awesome as well. All you need is one oil based pad to remove any lip whip from your lips. Definitely a product to look into if other removers haven’t delivered as promised. These totally get the job done in a swipe or two.

You can grab your confections at BeautyBakerie.com, or if you’re from the San Diego, California area, why not visit their store?! It’s a sweet trip to a cosmetics shop.

Stay beautiful! Xo.
