ELF Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser Review:

I am obsessed with ELF’s Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser glamour babes. It’s been my favorite cleanser for removing eye makeup for the past month now. I didn’t think it was going be. I was searching for a gel/cleansing balm that melts away eye and face makeup just as effectively as Pixi’s Cleansing Balm ($20), but at a more affordable price. I happened to find a few jars of the ELF Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser on a whim at Marshall’s for $3.99 (orig.$10 for 1.41oz) a piece.

I bought one and put the other two on hold for safe keeps. Lol. The price was too good to leave them behind. In case you were wondering, ELF did not discontinue this cleanser. The packing needed a little face lift, that’s all.

The Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser has a clear thick silicone/gel like texture, and is formulated with argan oil, rose extracts, seed oils, and vitamin C to easily dissolve makeup, while keeping skin hydrated and moisturized during each use.

It’s very simple product to use. Take a bit of the cleanser with dry hands, apply onto the face neck, and activate with warm water. You will soon start to see the thick silicone/gel textured cleanser breakdown into a thin milky, oil based non-foaming face wash.

It’s pretty neat. Almost like watching a cool science experiment take place. Massage all over the skin for 15 seconds, pat dry, and boom, done.

Suitable for ALL skin types.

You can also use the ELF Cleansing Duo Face Brush for a deeper cleanse. Spotted this at Marshall’s too, for $5! It’s really $14.

It does not leave any residue behind. The cleanser melts away with the rest of the debris. I love how it keeps my oily skin perfectly balanced with hydration and softness, especially around the eye area. That’s the main reason why I go after this type of makeup remover. It does not suck the moisture out of skin or eyes. The formulations can be pretty emollient. Everything comes completely off without stripping the natural oils skin produces. Plus, I enjoy that I don’t have to tug at my skin. Gentle circular motions with a dampened wash cloth works aces. Well, for me anyways. Lol.

You can find ELF’s Hydrating Gel Melt Cleanser at a few places-Target, Ulta Beauty, Walmart, Walgreens, and ELFCosmetics.com.

Do you think you’ll try it? Yes, no, maybe so?

Do tell!

Stay beautiful, xo.

ELF Beautifully Bare Highlighting Dewy Drops Review:

Happy Hump Day glamour babes! Before I jet set off to the Dominican Republic tomorrow, I wanted to get in one more review for ya’ll, and share my thoughts on ELF’s New Beautifully Bare Highlighting Dewy Drops ($4 for .5oz). I’m loving this product so much right now that it’s coming with me on the trip.

Details:

The Beautifully Bare Highlighting Dewy Drops with illuminating pigments, bring light to the face for a glowing, dewy looking complexion. These pearlescent drops can be used for strobing and highlighting to create a glowing look. Enriched with antioxidant Vitamin E. Ideal for all skin tones and types. Cruelty free and vegan!

This is a liquid highlighter and comes in only one shade, Illuminating, which is pinky champagne gold. Hopefully ELF will make a wider shade range. I’d love to see more colors, and at $4 a piece, I’d have no problem buying every single one, lol.

You can use this highlighter a number of ways- alone on your no makeup days, mixed with foundation/BB Cream, or apply a few drops to your daytime face cream. The finish produces a beautiful soft fresh faced, dewy glow.

The formula is lovely. It’s lightweight, pigmented, hydrating, smooth, has a subtle glossy finish, comfortable to wear, easy to apply and layers pretty well. I did not find the Dewy Drops to be oily as some reviewers have mentioned, nor did It make my skin feel any oilier than it already is. True, it does feel slick, not a heavy slick when applying, but I thought that was the purpose of a liquid highlighter that’s intended to create a dewy (wet) effect. Maybe I’m over analyzing the product, it’s just a matter of opinion anyway. I found the fingertip method to be messy during makeup applications, so I opted for the next best thing, my beauty blender! It worked superbly. Use a light, dabbing motion and watch your illuminated complexion come to life.

The longevity varied as I played beautifully with this highlighter.

Alone-5 hours

Using a setting powder or spray-6 to 7 hours

If you want to intensify the glow, you can add a highlighter powder on top. You’ll get about a 7 hour wear by using this technique too.

So, what do you think?! Will ELF’s Beautifully Bare Highlighter Dewy Drops be your next Target purchase?!

Go ahead and give it a glow. That’s my highlighter motto.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

ELF Cosmetics HD Highlighting Powder Review:

Don’t let the ELF Cosmetics website fool you glamour babes, their HD Highlighting Powder ($6) is indeed sold in stores, not only online. I purchased Sunset Glow and Starlight Glow at an ELF Store in Roosevelt Field Mall not long ago.

I honestly forgot about these. They were on my must have list along with ELF’s Beautifully Precise Multi Blender Massager, which is the reason why I went into their store in the first place. Score!

Starlight Glow is a soft white gold with a peachy pink undertone. Sunset Glow is a warm pale gold.I do have some rather good news about the two ELF Cosmetics HD Highlighting Powders I bought. Are you sitting down for this? It’s a jaw dropper.

Starlight Glow and Sunset Glow perfectly mimic Becca’s Shimmering Perfector Pressed Highlighters ($38) in Champagne Pop and Opal! Told you it was going to be a jaw dropper, lol. If you fancy those shades from Becca, but they’re beyond your means. You now have the option to own ELF’s for the fraction of the cost with $26 additional dollars in your pocket. You’re most certainly welcome boys and gals. Savings is my middle name, wink.

The HD Highlighting Powder is intended to create a soft focus finish on the skin using microfine particles that blur skin imperfections flawlessly for a luminous photo ready finish. And it does an excellent job at that. Well, I seem to think so. Take a look! (Starlight left, Sunset right)The formula is lightweight, pigmented, has a soft silky texture, and blends evenly and easily into the skin. Starlight and Sunset Glow have a pearlized finish and are highly buildable; creating a natural radiance suitable for all skin tones without looking cakey or too shimmery. The color payoff is amazing. Both shades provided long lasting wear for 12 hours! I didn’t think an ELF Highlighter could have such staying power. Who would’ve thunk it?! Oh ELF, you never cease to amaze me. This is why you are one of my favorite affordable drugstore brands, and I’m sure many of my viewers feel the same.

Have you tried ELF Cosmetics HD Highlighting Powder? Which shades give you the look and feel of a glowdacious goddess?

Stay beautiful! Xo.

ELF Cosmetics Color Correcting Stick (Green, Lilac, Peach) Review:

Well, its about time ELF Cosmetics decided to come to the colorful side and create their own Color Correcting Concealer Stick! I have been waiting FOREVER for this to happen glamour babes! Haven’t you?!
I absolutely love, love, love ELF concealer. It’s super duper affordable, blends beautifully, provides great coverage, and I never ever breakout, EVER! I’ll get the occasional white head here and there, but those are easy to take out with a pore extractor, blemishes not so much, lol.

What are color correcting concealers? They are concealers that come in an array of colors that target skin concerns to instantly help cancel and neutralize color imperfections, creating a more flawless and even complexion.

What shades does ELF have?

Green, Lilac, Peach, and Orange (suitable for deeper skin tones).

What does each shade do?

Green helps to reduce redness from rosacea, sunburns, and blemishes.

Lilac helps brighten sallowness or yellowness for a healthy looking glow.

Peach helps to illuminate and conceal dark circles or hyperpigmentation on light skin tones.

Orange helps to illuminate and conceal dark circles or hyperpigmentation on deeper skin tones.

ELF’s Color Correcting Sticks are twistable, smooth, creamy, lightweight, infused with vitamin E for hydration, are blendable, easy to use and produce medium coverage.

You can use these under or over your favorite foundation, BB Cream, CC Cream, and/or Concealer, they are pretty buildable, and do not cake up. They literally melt into the skin during applications and have a good amount of hydration. I wouldn’t wear the green or lilac on naked skin. Even though they blend in effortlessly, I noticed there was a subtle hue of pastel colors lingering when the natural light hit my skin. To fix this, I just use ELF’s HD liquid concealer ($3) on top of the green, and lilac to achieve an even mix when used together. Use your blending sponge when using these concealers, it works wonders! Redness from my blemishes are muted, dark circles have disappeared, and that sweet shade of lilac brightens up my whole face. I have not yet to break out when wearing them all together, and they hold up well. I didn’t need to touch up my skin for a full 8 hours. My skin looked flawless with a capital F, and some setting spray didn’t  hurt either, lol.

As of right now, ELF’s Color Correcting Concealers ($4) have not yet reached all of their stores, they are available online. I could not wait to get mine so, obviously I ordered them through the site, lol. To check if the newest items have arrived you could always call the closest ELF Store near you. The sales representatives are always happy to help from what I have experienced. I get lovely, helpful girls all the time.

Are you going to try them?! Which shade will it be?! Green? Lilac? Peach? Orange?! All of the above?!

I gotta know! The suspense is killing me! Don’t forget to leave your comments below (wink).

Stay beautiful! Xo.
