My first Glossybox ever and I am tardy for the review glamour babes. I received this beautiful PR box from GlossyBox back in February, but got caught up in the game called life. It’s known to happen from time to time, we can all relate. Right?Glossybox is just like Ipsy and Birchbox. A beauty product retailer which sends a monthly package of makeup samples straight to your door for a set monthly fee. So, where do we go from here? Choose a subscription plan! Once you have your subscription plan all set up, from there, you will receive five deluxe to full size beauty products every month that have been handpicked from around the globe, and are perfectly wrapped up in a lovely keepsake box.
What five splendid tiny treasures did I receive?
The Estee Edit by Estée Lauder Pink Peony Overnight Water Pack-deluxe sample. A water gel mask enriched with fruit and flower extracts, antioxidants, and mega hydration to smooth, brighten, and revitalize skin.
Scwartzkopf Smooth Perfect Smoothing Cream-deluxe sample. For thick, coarse, wavy, curly, unmanageable and frizzy hair. The amino smoothing agent is formulated to deeply nourish and manage course, thick, and frizzy hair long term. Protecting it from styling heat and humidity making it look visibly smoother and shinier.
* Please note that I did not use the two products mentioned above. No disrespect to Glossybox. They are not cruelty free, which goes against my morals and beauty blog. The welfare of animals and how they are treated come first before testing any product.
Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat-full size $30.Formulated with a hint of pink. The thick like gel coat formula is intended to bring out the natural color in the nail bed while making the whites of nails look whiter. Keratin is also infused to help strengthen nails. Suitable for all nail types. I started using this gel coat last week and I love it. It almost reminds me of Butter London’s Horse Power Nail Rescue ($18) due to the up keep and regimen. I will post a full review of how this works in a couple of weeks. I haven’t seen my nails go through the strengthening phase yet. It has only been a week.
Eves by Eves Conditioning Lip Definer in Blossom Pink (nudish pink)-full size $19. Define and enhance your lips using this creamy, highly pigmented conditioning lip liner that is packed with hydrating ingredients such as Rosehip Oil, Macadamia Seed Oil, Avocado Oil, Apricot Oil, and Vitamin E. Formulated without Parabens, Sulfates, and Phthalates. I never heard of this brand until now, and the lip definer is gorgeous. It is super hydrating, has long lasting wear, and produces beautiful color that does not bleed or migrate. I apply it over the entire lip followed by Pixi’s LipLift Max in shade clear for added shine and plumping or alone for a matte finish. It also comes equipped with a nifty lip brush on the other end to blend out your work easily and precisely. This is definitely a keeper. I will be making a separate purchase as soon as I finish this one.
Jeanne Arthes L’eau De Rose 1Fl oz.-full size $26 (cruelty free dupe for Chloe or Stella by Stella McCartney). The fresh and fruity start of bergamot, orange, and litchee evokes the morning dew on hardly hatched roses. Then the heart mixes the rosebud with the lily of the valley to celebrate romanticism and femininity, to end on sensual and velvety notes of amber and peach. Sounds more like a romance novel than a perfume. Lol. L’eau De Rose smells heavenly. Like a big bouquet of roses! I get a ton of compliments when I wear this sweet, soft smelling fragrance. It truly has an alluring scent I just can’t get enough of.
Apart from the two beauty samples I could not try, I had a fun experience with Glossybox. I’m considering doing a subscription at some point. The beauty of these monthly subscriptions is that you can cancel at anytime with no strings attached.
