NYX Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oil Review:

Excuse me glamour babes, while I slip my lips into something a little more comfortable.

Say hello to NYX Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oil ($7.00). I was a skeptic at first, but that feeling is no more. You think, oh god oil?! Why?! That’s going to literally slip right off my lips. Don’t be fooled, they’re awesome.

The 12 richly pigmented shades are the newest members to the NYX family, and there’s a pretty good spread of colors to choose from. Ranging in nudes, reds, berries, pinks, and mauves. You’ll have no problem on deciding which color works best for you. Who knows? It might be all of them. Lol.

Now that we are officially in fall mode. Some new reds seemed to be fitting for the season. I absolutely fell in love with Fire Dancer and Red Queen.

Fire Dancer is a wine red.

Red Queen is a true red.

*Just a note on Fire Dancer. Two applications are needed if you decide to buy this shade. I noticed it to be a bit patchy in certain areas when only using one coat. Two coats works perfectly or a lipliner underneath will create evenness and a much bolder lip too.

Infused with Grape Seed Oil, Avacado Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Sweet Almond Oil. The formulation is super lightweight, creamy, hydrating, comfortable to wear, easy to apply, highly pigmented, buildable, does not feather, bleed, feel cakey, and sets in a satin matte finish.

The Lip Oils are indeed liquid lipsticks, but the consistency is much thinner, like a liquid stain. So I’d give it a minute to fully set after applying.

Make sure lips are exfoliated and 100% dry. The colors will adhere better and last longer. About 7 hours and then they slowly fade into a vibrant stain.

NYX Slip Tease Full Color Lip Oil is now available at Ulta and NYX Cosmetics.com.

Check out the BOGO Sale going on now at Ulta Beauty! Saving money is always a good thing. It means you can buy more makeup! Lol.

Think you’ll get any?!

NYX Dose of Dew Face Gloss Review:

I don’t know exactly what this “wet and glossy” face fad is about, but I’m not a big fan of the trend glamour babes. NYX’s Dose of Dew Face Gloss left a little too much resi-dew on my face, and that could be dew to my oily complexion.
Product Description:

Glisten from every angle with Dose of Dew, NYX Professional Makeup’s new face gloss that creates a soft, pearly glow for a totally mesmerizing holographic effect. Inspired by the new beauty trend of the “wet and glossy face”, this dreamy balm highlighter glides on like silk and sets to a lightweight, dewy finish. In short, it’s the best thing your makeup bag has even seen (and we know it’s seen some good stuff).I felt this face gloss to be quite balmy and heavy, not lightweight at all. It doesn’t have a sticky texture if that’s what you are questioning. The formula is very emollient, which makes me think this would work best on dryer skin and possibly medium to deep skin tones. The shade is a super sheer opalescent pink, but I was unable to see a holographic effect come into view.I do have fair skin and when blending, the color faded into nothing. I did glisten though! As if I applied a stick of crisco to my t-zone and was ready to bake in the oven at the perfect set temperature of 350 degrees, creating that beautiful golden glow we all want and talk about. Don’t get too excited, I broke out terribly and produced no glow. Way to accentuate my features, lol. My skin looked slick and wet, and the wear had an uncomfortable greasy feel. Thankfully, the formula payoff wasn’t everlasting-4 hours, but the greasiness still lingered.

The twistable tube was not exactly sturdy, so when trying to apply a bit of pressure to the face gloss stick as it glided across my skin, it would retract back into the tube. It was kind of an annoying process. Having to constantly twist the product back up into place, and I am sure by doing this motion repeatedly weakened the structure of the face gloss.

Oh well, I didn’t loosen the purse strings too much on NYX’s Dose of Dew Face Gloss. It was only a $9 loss, and I was able to experiment with a trend that’s not all it’s cracked up to be in my opinion.

What do you think of dewy sticks in general? Love? Hate? Or could you do without?

NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder Review:

You gotta try these NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powders (available at Ulta and NYX Cosmetics for $8.00 each) glamour babes, they illuminate your features beautifully.
Available in five shades (Snow Rose, Twilight Tint, Lavender Steel, Crushed Bloom, and Synthetica) the silky powder blends like a dream for a fresh-faced look. The formula’s light catching pearls deliver a luminous finish that looks different form every angle. NYX is speaking truth. Apply this lightweight, buttery soft highlighter along the highest points of the face so you could see what NYX is talking about-such as the cheekbones, bridge of the nose, and Cupid’s bow. Now marvel at the duo chromatic glow in which you created.

Out of the five, I purchased Snow Rose and Twilight Tint. I thought these two shades in particular had unique hues, and would be flattering on fair to light skin tones.
Snow Rose is a white base with pink and lilac duo chromatic pearls.
Twilight Tint- is a white base with blue duo chromatic pearls.
I know this is going to sound corny, but I felt like a Disney princess wearing these shades, lol! Wanna know which ones?! Sleeping beauty and that chick from Frozen. You know, the one that sings let it go, and everything she touches turns to ice. What’s her face??? Ah! Elsa. Totally felt like an ice queen as I wore Twilight Tint. Snow Rose and Twilight Tint are breathtakingly enchanting. Depending on how the light hit my face, I loved seeing the icy white base shift to a soft pink/lilac or an icy blue. These duo chromatic powders truly live up to their name.

Apart from the formula being lightweight and buttery smooth. It is also finely milled (kickback alert!), has gorgeous pigmentation, it’s easy to build up, and blends well.
I did notice a little fading, but after 8 to 10 hours of wear that’s bound to happen. My face still had the stunning effect of a duo chrome highlighter, only softer.

Bottom line- I would most definitely recommend NYX’s Duo Chromatic Illuminating powder to just about anyone who loves to strobe. They are so pretty to play with, and are currently on sale at Ulta. Yep, it’s that time again, BOGO! Yay! All you need to do is click on the pink and my site will link you to the rest. Sale ends 5/14.

Happy hauling!

NYX Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter Review:

Here I glow, here I glow, here I glow again. Girls, what’s my weakness?! Highlighters! Okay then. I don’t know what sparked the inspiration to introduce Salt n Peppa’s song Shoop for NYX’s Away We Glow Liquid Highlighter glamour babes, but I’m going to roll with it. It’s kinda catchy, don’t you think?! Lol.

Anyhoodles, NYX’s Away We Glow Highlighters are new to their spring 2017 collection and they’re pretty awesome if I do say so myself. They sorta remind me of Benefits Liquid Highlighters, but better! They’re a heck of a lot cheaper ($6.99 at Ulta) and cruelty free. Score one for the bunnies! And let’s not for get your wallets too.

Available in nine Illuminating shades. These lightweight, creamy liquid highlighters have a light reflecting formula that gives skin a luminous glow with a soft shimmery finish.

That being said, I thought to add Liquid Prism and Moon Glow to my massive hoard.  Oddly enough, I own not a single highlighter shade in silvery white. I felt this was the perfect opportunity to expand my shade selection in the highlighter department. Even though one can never have enough champagnes, pinks, peaches, and golds, in their collection lol.

Moon Glow-is a pale cool white with a pearly undertone.Liquid Prism- is a duo-chrome, holographic opal (whitish beige). I hope you can see it on my skin. This shade was hard to capture in the light. Both shades have a good amount of pigment if you build on them. The liquid highlighters apply quite sheerly creating a subdued beautiful glow that dries quickly. Each tube carries a rounded doe foot wand for easy placement when choosing which of your loveliest features you want to accentuate.

You will need a beauty tool to blend out your work. I find a blending sponge or stippling brush to work superbly. I think NYX needs to make their Away We Glow wand a little more narrow. I sometimes have difficulty getting it back into the tube afterwards, almost like it gets stuck mid-way.

These highlighters produce great color payoff especially with a setting spray. My dewy gorgeous complexion stayed put for 8 hours, and it looked beautiful all day long.

I’m definitely getting a few more shades. I’m loving the glow these give off. Looks like they’ll be more irresistible shimmery pinks, golds, and champagnes added to my multitude of highlighters. Told you one can never have enough.
