Pacifica Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery Lotion Review:

This is another Pacifica find that I absolutely love and had to share because you may just end up loving it too glamour babes! I picked up Pacifica’s Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery Lotion ($18 for 1.7 Fluid Ounces) along with their Quinoa Sensitive Face Wash ($10) during Ulta’s BOGO sale back in March.

I know I sound like a broken record in my last few posts about these BOGO sales, but you do save so much money when racking up your Ulta points and being able to use coupons on top of those points. As much as I love Pacifica, some of their products don’t come cheap, and being coupon savvy helps when wanting to try new skin care without breaking the bank :D. FYI, this lotion works phenomenal when paired with the Quinoa Face wash, both have calendula and aloe to help calm inflammation on stressed, acne prone, and sensitive skin or any skin type as a matter of fact. Cactus water and Kale extract put moisture back into dehydrated and tired skin while keeping everyday stress factors that we tend to come across (environment, hormones, UV Rays) in check. My skin has been a hot mess a couple of months prior, my cystic acne flared up, I had horrible white heads, my face was beyond inflamed and irritated due to the cystic acne, and horrifically oily. Pacifica’s Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery lotion helped big time when wanting to gently heal my acne fiasco. The lotion is super light weight, absorbs quickly into the skin without any greasy feel after application, and does not clog pores! I use it in the morning and at night, and I love how soft, supple, and healthy my complexion looks. The redness and swelling has greatly reduced, whiteheads…gone! I still have oily skin, but it has decreased a bit, I’m not as shiny. I do get breakouts from time to time, I’m not saying this completely healed my acne, it takes much more than a lotion to combat cystic acne, unfortunately. What I can say is, the Cactus and Kale lotion along side with the Quinoa Face Wash has made it more manageable and easier to keep under wraps due to all of the natural extracts, and the gentleness of both products. I am also on acne medication, which can make my skin feel tight and drier than the Sahara desert (I’m sure all ya’ll acne suffers can relate to this side effect), Pacifica’s lightweight lotion hydrates overnight! It feels so great not waking up to a dry, parched face in the morning, it can be really unattractive, lol! Oh! And one more thing, a little goes a long way, a pea sized amount should do the trick or at least start off with so you don’t waste this awesome sauce of a product.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Pacifica Quinoa Sensitive Super Gentle Face Wash Review:

Good morning glamour babes and happy hump day! Today I decided to mix things up a bit and talk about skin care, preferably Pacifica’s Quinoa Sensitive Super Gentle Face Wash ($10) available at Ulta Beauty.

This is one of the newest face washes from the Pacifica skincare line and all I can is, it’s the BOMB ????!!! I’m going to give my readers a breakdown of my skin type, you ready for this? I hope so. It’s oily/sensitive, with a mild case of adult cystic acne. For those of you who have not had this type of acne, thank your lucky stars! It is uncomfortable and quite painful when these pimples begin to form, how I love living my teenage years through my adult hood, lol! Getting back to face wash, I use the Quinoa Sensitive (night time) in conjunction with Pacifica’s Kale Detox face wash (day time use, specifically helps with acne), and the combination has been working wonders.

My skin is horrifically oily, and the duo has cut oil production down immensely without robbing me blind of all my natural oils. I’m sure we all know that dry tight feeling after a good face cleansing, not with these though, my skin is soft and hydrated afterwards. For $10 there is a great amount of product in this 5oz tube, and a little goes a long way, I purchased my tube in March and its still a quarter of the way full, pretty impressive. Loaded with natural herbal extracts like Quinoa, Aloe, and Calendula,

these three help calm, cleanse, and balance skin gently yet effectively without over drying or aggravating the skin. Also, this trio of herbs have great anti-inflammatory properties which is excellent for acne prone skin! Hahhhzahhh! Seriously, when I tell you boys and gals how inflamed my skin becomes when my cystic acne decides to come by for a visit, it’s angry and agitated, what a greeting ?. This face wash seriously helps calm that nastiness down by a lot, no foolin, and cleans makeup away beautifully with no residue or greasy film, keeping my breakouts down to a minimum, and keeping away new ones from forming, take that! Unexpected company arriving on my face! The consistency of the product itself has a gelatinous texture, it almost feels slippery, and lathers nicely,

and omg! It smells like fruity pebbles, so please try to refrain yourself from trying to squeeze the contents of the bottle into your mouth, as good as it smells it sure doesn’t taste like the beloved cereal us kidults secretly love, lol. If you have been curious to try Pacifica’s Quinoa Sensitive Face Wash, I’m saying go for it! Apart from my awesome review of this stuff, it works for all skin types especially sensitive, is pretty darn affordable, it’s cruelty free, vegan, and is jam packed with all natural herbs and extracts to keep skin looking it’s best, while gently washing away toxins and pollution that our beautiful complexions come across everyday. Clean skin is happy skin! Stay beautiful, xo.

Skinfood Wilberry Milk Cleansing Foam Review:

Wash the work day away glamour babes with Skinfood’s Wildberry Milk Cleansing Foam Available through Amazon or Ebay for $10.00. This silky, yet super foamy face wash infused with wildberry and milk extracts help remove any makeup, dirt, and, oil that your skin tackled during the day leaving no filmy residue behind. You do not need to use much of this product, just a pea size amount and you will get a nice lather going.

A bottle of this stuff will last you about 6 months, maybe even longer. I ordered my cleanser in November, it is now March (4 months) and I still have half the bottle left. Oh yea it’s that concentrated and that good. This is one of my favorite Korean skin care brands. They are very affordable, have beautiful packaging, and everything is derived from natural ingredients. My skin is acne prone (cystic), very oily, and sensitive at the same time, and this saved my skin tremendously when I started to get cystic flare ups. I also have some acne scarring and I noticed that they were fading away every time I washed with this cleanser. This is an all natural product, but it does contain a bit of paraben in the cleanser to prevent any bacteria or fungus from forming in their product (this what I have read and heard through the internet and other companies). The cleanser does not smell like berries nor milk (does milk even have a scent?), it has more of a floral scent that does not linger on the skin. After washing my face with this cleanser I really enjoyed that it did not dry out my skin whatsoever like most face washes have done to me in the past causing more aggravation to my skin. It left my skin feeling very soft, supple, and glowing like a cherub (angel harps in the background). If your not a big fan of foaming cleansers or your sensitive to them, not to worry because they make one in a cream, shown down below (awesome sauce!).

This face wash and face cream is gentle enough for any skin type and is known to be “beauty food for the urban sweetie” and I couldn’t agree more. Stay beautiful! xo.

The Balm TimeBalm Apple AHA Daily Face Moisturizer Review:

An apple a day will keep the dermatologist away glamour babes. We all know Apples are delicious fruits. They come in striking beautiful colors, have a sweet and tart taste to them, as well as having a rosy aroma. Hence, belonging to the rose family of plants, Rosaceae (who knew?!). Now let me educate you on the skin benefits of this delectable forbidden fruit, shall I? Full of vitamin C also known as ascorbic acid (if you want to get technical) helps produce collagen production, which is an abundant protein found in your skin. Collagen is a crucial structural component of skin and helps maintain your skin’s waterproof barrier keeping it firm, smooth supple and glowing. Vitamin A also plays a small role in these sweet healthy treats by helping immature skin develop into mature and functional skin tissue, and might reduce the risk of skin cancer. While your giving your body a sweet and satisfying treat you minus well treat your skin too with The Balm TimeBalm Apple AHA daily face moisturizer. Formulated with apple extract, full of vitamins A and C, provide antioxidant protection against free-radical damage, helps firm the skin and refines the texture and appearance for a smoother complexion. Glycolic acid removes dead skin cell buildup and evens skin tone for a more rejuvenated look. I’m always on the prowl for good acne lotions and potions (face wash, gels, I’d probably sell my soul for flawless skin lol) that will help clear my skin of those little bacteria ridden monsters we like to call pimples (just the thought of them makes me queasy). This face cream seemed to be right up my alley and I was lucky enough to find this on sale at Hautelook. It retails originally for $36.00 and I ended up paying $18.00 (score!). The bottle is designed just like the Vanilla oil absorbing moisturizer bottle, with the same product amount 1.52oz and pump for easy product distribution without the mess.

It has a nice lightweight, creamy consistency, that is oil free, and has the sweet aroma of apples that is perfect for all skin types. It’s also free of harsh chemicals, parabens, and they are against animal testing. I have been using this lotion for quite sometime, every night after I cleanse my face to help keep my oily skin under control and blemishes in check during my beauty sleep. The results are pretty good, I have been waking up to less oily, softer, healthier, and blemish free skin. I will admit, I get a few flare ups here and there, but I think it’s more hormonal if anything. You ladies know what I am talking about, I really don’t think I need to spell it out. A little goes a long way with this product, so this should last you a while. It lasted about 6 months for me. I use about three small pumps and it covers my skin evenly. You can use this during the day as well, although, it does not contain SPF. No need to worry, you can always substitute a face powder, concealer, bb cream, or foundation, that contains an SPF keeping those pesky sun rays at bay from harming your beautiful skin. Would I pay full price for this? absolutely! Your skin needs just as much love and care as the rest of your body. I hope this lesson gave you girls a little fruit for thought. Stay beautiful! xo
