ELF Beautifully Bare 3 in 1 Makeup Base Review:

I am so diggin Flawless Friday’s now glamour babes, and I think you will too, thanks to ELF’s Beautifully Bare 3 in 1 Makeup Base, and here’s why! Just read the description below, I’m sure ELF will have you enticed by the pros of their base primer.

“Create a flawless natural look with this lightweight makeup base. Infused with Acai and Vitamins C and E, this makeup base primes the skin for long wear, and also helps brighten and refine skins appearance.”

So? Are you liking the sound of ELF’s Beautifully Bare 3 in 1 Makeup Base now?! You should, because everything that ELF describes about this primer is totally legit!

The formula is lightweight, silky, and has a nice creamy texture that literally absorbs into the skin immediately when applied.

I squeeze about 3 drops worth onto my oval foundation brush, and the creamy base covered my skin fully.
This base seems to do it all, prep, prime, blur, and smooth out imperfections flawlessly. It’s like photoshops healing wand in a tube! And, you can use all of your favorite mediums (foundation, CC cream, BB Cream, Concealer, etc), followed by highlighters, blushes, bronzer, or even finishing powders without getting all caked up! I used the Beautifully Bare Makeup Base with only a concealer stick to touch up some slight imperfections (acne scars, and a few blemishes), and can I just say my skin looked bangin!!!! I’m not giving you a bunch of bologna, I could not stop gazing at my complexion in the mirror, it was so flawless, even, silky soft, and natural looking, I could not believe my eyes. ELF’s Beautifully Bare 3 in 1 Makeup Base smoothed, brightened, and blurred out all of my imperfections consistently and effortlessly.

Do you know what else I absolutely love about this base?! Do you?! Ok, I’ll spill the beans to you, the coverage of this lightweight clear base lasts all day long! Whether you contour, strobe, thrown on a little foundation, or like to keep it clean and natural, ELF’s Beautifully Bare Base keeps it all together. I applied it on a hot muggy day much like today to see how it would hold up, and to my surprise my concealer and finishing powder combo did not melt off my face, everything was intact, which was another fun discovery about this stuff. I’m thinking that this might be the holy grail primer for summer ladies and gents. Before I forget, due to all of my excitement, there is a subtle sweet floral fragrance that is infused in ELF’s makeup base. Not to worry though, it is not over powering, and the soft rosy scent does not linger once it fully absorbs into the skin. Oh, and the best part about ELF’s Beautifully Bare 3 in 1 Makeup Base, it does not clog pores or create new breakouts, making this perfect for oily skin, and all skin types for that matter.

Would you please go online and purchase this $10 base already!!! I feel like my review doesn’t do justice, I’m so excited for ya’ll to try this phenomenal 3 in 1 base for yourselves, it’s totally worth an online shopping trip to elfcosmetics.com.

Pacifica Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery Lotion Review:

This is another Pacifica find that I absolutely love and had to share because you may just end up loving it too glamour babes! I picked up Pacifica’s Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery Lotion ($18 for 1.7 Fluid Ounces) along with their Quinoa Sensitive Face Wash ($10) during Ulta’s BOGO sale back in March.

I know I sound like a broken record in my last few posts about these BOGO sales, but you do save so much money when racking up your Ulta points and being able to use coupons on top of those points. As much as I love Pacifica, some of their products don’t come cheap, and being coupon savvy helps when wanting to try new skin care without breaking the bank :D. FYI, this lotion works phenomenal when paired with the Quinoa Face wash, both have calendula and aloe to help calm inflammation on stressed, acne prone, and sensitive skin or any skin type as a matter of fact. Cactus water and Kale extract put moisture back into dehydrated and tired skin while keeping everyday stress factors that we tend to come across (environment, hormones, UV Rays) in check. My skin has been a hot mess a couple of months prior, my cystic acne flared up, I had horrible white heads, my face was beyond inflamed and irritated due to the cystic acne, and horrifically oily. Pacifica’s Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery lotion helped big time when wanting to gently heal my acne fiasco. The lotion is super light weight, absorbs quickly into the skin without any greasy feel after application, and does not clog pores! I use it in the morning and at night, and I love how soft, supple, and healthy my complexion looks. The redness and swelling has greatly reduced, whiteheads…gone! I still have oily skin, but it has decreased a bit, I’m not as shiny. I do get breakouts from time to time, I’m not saying this completely healed my acne, it takes much more than a lotion to combat cystic acne, unfortunately. What I can say is, the Cactus and Kale lotion along side with the Quinoa Face Wash has made it more manageable and easier to keep under wraps due to all of the natural extracts, and the gentleness of both products. I am also on acne medication, which can make my skin feel tight and drier than the Sahara desert (I’m sure all ya’ll acne suffers can relate to this side effect), Pacifica’s lightweight lotion hydrates overnight! It feels so great not waking up to a dry, parched face in the morning, it can be really unattractive, lol! Oh! And one more thing, a little goes a long way, a pea sized amount should do the trick or at least start off with so you don’t waste this awesome sauce of a product.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Trader Joe’s Nourish Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer Review

Dear Trader Joe’s:  How do I love thee? Let me count the ways to my glamour babes. One one-thousand. Two one-thousand. Three one-thousand, and a thousand times over thanks to your amazing Nourish Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer! The Nourish Antioxidant line from Trader Joe’s is a trio (face cleanser, facial serum) of wholesome goodness for your face. Infused with extracts like green tea, chamomile, coffee bean, and vitamins A, B5, C, D, K1, K3, and E. Overtime these antioxidants help fight off free radicals that can be damaging to skin due to harmful UV rays the sun produces. I cannot stop raving about the Nourish line and I shall tell you why. For one thing it is cost effective and your skin benefits tremendously because of all the great natural ingredients (listed above) Trader Joe’s pours into their products. Secondly, Trader Joe’s does not skimp out on the amount of product they sell to their customers.

They are quite generous, a 6 fluid ounce (177mL) bottle of the nourish antioxidant facial moisturizer costs only $5.99 lasting you a life time of happiness. Let me not forget to mention that it is free of cruelty (bunny approved), parabens, oils, fragrance, suitable for all skin types including senstive, and problematic, and it is vegan. Trader Joe’s facial moisturizer comes equipped with a lockable pump for easy product dispersal that is super lightweight and absorbs immediately; producing enough moisture that your skin needs throughout the day leaving no shine behind. My skin has been noticeably different since I have been using Trader Joe’s Nourish Antioxidant Facial Moisturizer for daytime use. I have a much softer and even complexion in combination with the antioxidant facial serum (night time). My skin has become less oily, breakouts are less noticeable (goodbye clogged pores!), and the redness around my nose has greatly reduced. I do love how this acts as a primer as well; when applying my makeup everything goes on so smoothly and effortlessly my skin looks airbrushed. Unfortunately this contains no SPF for those of you who are sunscreen worshipers. This does not bother me in the least, I usually throw on a translucent face powder formulated with SPF and my skin is content. I truly have nothing negative to say about this facial moisturizer for it has left me well nourished and full. Stay beautiful! xo.

Trader Joe’s Nourish Antioxidant Facial Serum Review:

Your skin is going to feel luxurious and velvety smooth glamour babes thanks to Traders Joe’s nourish antioxidant facial serum ($10). This all natural silicone based 1fl oz tube with encapsulated Vitamin C beads is packed with all the antioxidants (Coenzyme Q10,Green Tea, Vitamin E, Grapefruit Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Gingo Bilboa Extract) your skin needs to fight free radicals. I will admit I can be a serum snob from time to time (hides in shame) since I try to stray away from products that contain a ton of chemicals that most drugstore brands carry (neutrogena, olay, clearasil, etc..) and sometimes I do have to break open my piggy bank for something more beneficial to my skin without the harsh irriatnts. So, when I received my Trader Joe’s fearless flyer via email I was intrigued to read that their nourish skin care line (face wash, moisturizer, and serum) was one: super affordable, two: all natural, and three: ITS A SERUM!!! I was on that like white on rice. Ladies, this is my new serum and possibly my new best friend. This stuff is amazing and I cannot believe I can just pick this little treasure up at the grocery store. When using facial serums I usually notice that my skin has a slick, oily feel afterwards, but not with this one. The serum is super light weight and absorbs quickly into your skin that hydrates on the spot. This did not clog my pores nor did it give me a chain reaction of breakouts causing me to reminisce about the good ole days of my teenage youth. I have been using this serum for about a month now and my skin has changed immensely. It’s softer, more radiant, no more dry patches, and has evened out my complexion.

I would not call this a serum though, it is more like a gel that feels like it has a dense texture due to the silicone, but goes on light as a feather. It also has a subtle refreshing smell of citrus fruit like grapefruit or oranges. A little does go a long way with the antioxidant facial serum. I use about 1 to 2 small pea size pumps (photo shown) a day and I still have not put a dent in the tube. And, one more thing, be sure to shake out the air bubbles from the product. Otherwise you will be standing there for all eternity trying disperse your product out of the tube. I learned this the hard way and all I had to do was read the back of the packaging, which it clearly stated to do! You live and learn, or in my case learn to be more patient. Trader Joe’s antioxidant serum is perfect for all skin types including those who are sensitive prone. After reading this kind of nourishing news I would like to think you may just want to try this one out for yourselves. Stay beautiful! Xo
