Pacifica Quinoa Sensitive Super Gentle Face Wash Review:

Good morning glamour babes and happy hump day! Today I decided to mix things up a bit and talk about skin care, preferably Pacifica’s Quinoa Sensitive Super Gentle Face Wash ($10) available at Ulta Beauty.

This is one of the newest face washes from the Pacifica skincare line and all I can is, it’s the BOMB ????!!! I’m going to give my readers a breakdown of my skin type, you ready for this? I hope so. It’s oily/sensitive, with a mild case of adult cystic acne. For those of you who have not had this type of acne, thank your lucky stars! It is uncomfortable and quite painful when these pimples begin to form, how I love living my teenage years through my adult hood, lol! Getting back to face wash, I use the Quinoa Sensitive (night time) in conjunction with Pacifica’s Kale Detox face wash (day time use, specifically helps with acne), and the combination has been working wonders.

My skin is horrifically oily, and the duo has cut oil production down immensely without robbing me blind of all my natural oils. I’m sure we all know that dry tight feeling after a good face cleansing, not with these though, my skin is soft and hydrated afterwards. For $10 there is a great amount of product in this 5oz tube, and a little goes a long way, I purchased my tube in March and its still a quarter of the way full, pretty impressive. Loaded with natural herbal extracts like Quinoa, Aloe, and Calendula,

these three help calm, cleanse, and balance skin gently yet effectively without over drying or aggravating the skin. Also, this trio of herbs have great anti-inflammatory properties which is excellent for acne prone skin! Hahhhzahhh! Seriously, when I tell you boys and gals how inflamed my skin becomes when my cystic acne decides to come by for a visit, it’s angry and agitated, what a greeting ?. This face wash seriously helps calm that nastiness down by a lot, no foolin, and cleans makeup away beautifully with no residue or greasy film, keeping my breakouts down to a minimum, and keeping away new ones from forming, take that! Unexpected company arriving on my face! The consistency of the product itself has a gelatinous texture, it almost feels slippery, and lathers nicely,

and omg! It smells like fruity pebbles, so please try to refrain yourself from trying to squeeze the contents of the bottle into your mouth, as good as it smells it sure doesn’t taste like the beloved cereal us kidults secretly love, lol. If you have been curious to try Pacifica’s Quinoa Sensitive Face Wash, I’m saying go for it! Apart from my awesome review of this stuff, it works for all skin types especially sensitive, is pretty darn affordable, it’s cruelty free, vegan, and is jam packed with all natural herbs and extracts to keep skin looking it’s best, while gently washing away toxins and pollution that our beautiful complexions come across everyday. Clean skin is happy skin! Stay beautiful, xo.

Makeup Revolution Vivid Shimmer Brick Radiant Review:

I’m telling you glamour babes Makeup Revolution is by far exceeding my makeup expectations especially in the highlighter/blush department. As of right now I am fawning over Makeup Revolution’s Vivid Shimmer Brick in Radiant, which is available at Ulta for $7.

You can use this lovely brick in a few ways to create the warmth you are looking for. You can swirl the colors together to get a gorgeous copper, bronzy glow, or you can use each individual shade to highlight and/or strobe the areas you favor most on the skin.IMG_8431 My skin is so fair at the moment (no judging on the Casper translucent skin folks. It’s still not warm enough to drench myself with some vitamin D lol) I tried my very best to swatch each color individually below for you boys and gals so you can take in the beauty of each brick.

Brick 1 is a soft gold

Brick 2 is a soft pink

Brick 3 is a coppery peachy pink bronzer

Brick 4 is champagne colored

Brick 5 is a deep copper bronze

There are currently two shades to choose from out of the shimmer brick collection. Unfortunately, Ulta only sells the radiant brick at the moment. The Rose Gold is available on the Makeup Revolution website ( and costs the same amount, possibly a a few cents less. Here are the photos courtesy their website. I thought you should see how gorgeous this one is too! ?

Gorgeous right?! Uggh im drooling, I wish I could get this one at Ulta as well! Raspberries!

Makeup Revolution’s packaging reminded me very much of Wet n Wild’s Ombré blush compacts. These are very sleek and sturdy with a clear window to see the highlighter in full view.

This is a finely milled powder (produces kickback dust) that is nicely pigmented (pearlized finish), applies evenly and easily. I use a less denser powder brush when applying this shimmer brick because it holds a lot of color when I swirl the shades together and my skin is very fair as you can see. Combing them all together gives me a little of everything; an incandescent glow with the warmth of a soft bronzer.

Manipulating the shimmer brick is quite easy to achieve when wanted to create depth or a more subdued look, and works well with all skin tones. The color payoff is fantabulous! I get all day wear with Makeup Revolution’s shimmer brick with no reapplication or uneven streaks as I go about my day. Pretty sweet huh?!

And, Makeup Revolution’s Radiant shimmer brick replicates Bobbi Browns shimmer brick in Sandstone ($46).

The shades are exactly alike and will give you that warmth and glow for $39 less with the same long lasting wear skin longs for during the spring and summer months. Stay beautiful! Xo.

Wet n Wild Color Icon Ombre Blush (Mai Tai Buy You A Drink and The Princess Daiquiries) Review:

Okay, so I may not have been impressed with Wet n Wild’s Ombre Lip Wands, but their Color Icon Ombre Blushes are a whole other story glamour babes, and at $4.99 a pop! You may agree with me as well. Let me just say that these Ombre blushes from Wet n Wild took me forevvvvvvvveeeerrrr to find. It felt like I was searching for the holy grail! I went to three Target stores in my hood and I was finally able to get two out of the three from the collection. The search left me tired, excited, accomplished, and complete. And most importantly, I was ready to play with my new finds!

Mai Tai Buy You a Drink? Is a gorgeous array of beachy, peachy, corally nudes.

The Princess Daiquiries are beautiful clouds of soft baby pinks.
I do apologize, I could not find the third shade Purple Haze (pinky purple). I’m guessing that was the most popular color out of the bunch.

So we all know what ombré is, right? If not, it’s okay, I will school you in a nutshell. Ombré is when color is graduated from light to dark (or in some cases dark to light, think hair) much like these pretty blushes!

The compacts are pretty basic yet sleek and sturdy, very mod if you ask me. I love that these compacts have clear windows so you can see the shades easily.

They do run on the pastel side, but oddly enough the blushes don’t apply that way. They are finely milled and will produce kickback dust. So be careful if you wish not to look like a pastel speckled egg for the holidays. Wet n Wild’s Color Icon Ombré Blush gives off soft and sheer color when applied, and come in different finishes from what I have noticed. Mai Tai Buy you a drink has a quite a bit of shimmer leaning towards a pearlized finish.

Whereas, The Princess Daiquries has more of a satin finish with minimal shimmer.

They may also be used as an eyeshadow if I you’d like to create a subtle color wash over your eyelids. I use them for the inner corners of my eyes and brow bones when I need a huge wake up call in the eye department. The staying power of these ombré blushes lasted about 5 hours before they fully faded away. I’m not so sure how these will work for deeper skin tones since the colors appear faint once applied. I know Hard Candy and NYX have created a line of ombré blushes ($8-$10) of their own that are highly pigmented from what I have seen and tested in stores. They may just tickle your fancy if Wet n Wild’s don’t give you the color satisfaction you need. I’m fair skinned and I couldn’t be happier with the subtle color payoff each blush has given me. That is all I need to build happy glowing cheeks! Stay beautiful! Xo.

Wet n Wild Perfect Pair Ombre Lip Wand (Mutually Beneficial, Sisters in Charms, Pretty Pocket Pair) Review :

Good morning glamour babes and happy Monday! I hope you are all having great start to the work week! If not, I am sure that it’s about to get better because you are about to read an awesome review of mine! How great does that sound?! Pretty great I know. I usually try to keep all of my reviews on a positive note when it comes to my make-up finds especially the ones that I find to be (or could be) beneficial to everyone . This review still has it’s positives but there is a negative to it as well…….I know terrible isn’t it?! My first negative commentary! Alas, Wet n Wild’s new Perfect Pair Ombre Lip Wands available at Target for $3.99 fell short for me. But, there’s still plenty of positives in the product that I have noticed. Just let me introduce the three shades and I’ll get into that for you in a moment.

Mutually Beneficial- Shade one is a deep orchid purple and shade two is a hot pink.

Sisters in Charms-Shade one is a mid-tone peachy nude and shade two is a corally pink

Pretty Pocket Pair-Shade one is a deep brown, and shade two is a bright, bold red.

The highlights/pros of these “perfect pairs”:

1. They are highly pigmented

2. They produce opaque coverage

3. They have a satin matte finish (my favorite ?)

4. The dual ended wands carry shades to compliment one another which can be worn together, or alone.

5. And lastly, the colors are long lasting and are easy to remove with a tissue or makeup towelette.

As you can see the colors look gorgeous on my wrist, but on my lips leaves something to be desired which was a total let down/con for me. When I applied each one of the lipsticks they looked either too chalky (mutually beneficial), pastel like (Sisters in Charms), or muddy (pretty pocket pair). I felt as if I had taken the wrong turn into a time warp back to 1984! And I was born that year! Lol. Sorry, but the 80’s was a horrible decade for makeup. Let’s be honest here, you were all thinking it! Lol. The combination of my fair skin and subdued colors morphed all into one which made a pretty flat statement on my lips. I do think Wet n Wild’s Ombré Lip Wands would work best against medium to deep skin tones. The colors look like they’d stand out way nicer against those complexions. I also had a tough time blending the two together to create an ombré effect. I ended up breaking two of the tips on two of the lips wands, and I didn’t even apply much pressure. Maybe a lip pencil would have worked better for one side? Hmmmm ?. Oh well, just because it didn’t work for me doesn’t mean it can’t work for others. I am still going to hang onto these and practice my lip ombré skills. I have not yet mastered the art of gradually blending one hue of color into another, and they are worth keeping around for the price. Have any of you tried Wet n Wild’s Lip Wands?! If so, what has you going wild for them?! Stay beautiful! Xo.
