Trader Joe’s Nourish Antioxidant Facial Serum Review:

Your skin is going to feel luxurious and velvety smooth glamour babes thanks to Traders Joe’s nourish antioxidant facial serum ($10). This all natural silicone based 1fl oz tube with encapsulated Vitamin C beads is packed with all the antioxidants (Coenzyme Q10,Green Tea, Vitamin E, Grapefruit Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Gingo Bilboa Extract) your skin needs to fight free radicals. I will admit I can be a serum snob from time to time (hides in shame) since I try to stray away from products that contain a ton of chemicals that most drugstore brands carry (neutrogena, olay, clearasil, etc..) and sometimes I do have to break open my piggy bank for something more beneficial to my skin without the harsh irriatnts. So, when I received my Trader Joe’s fearless flyer via email I was intrigued to read that their nourish skin care line (face wash, moisturizer, and serum) was one: super affordable, two: all natural, and three: ITS A SERUM!!! I was on that like white on rice. Ladies, this is my new serum and possibly my new best friend. This stuff is amazing and I cannot believe I can just pick this little treasure up at the grocery store. When using facial serums I usually notice that my skin has a slick, oily feel afterwards, but not with this one. The serum is super light weight and absorbs quickly into your skin that hydrates on the spot. This did not clog my pores nor did it give me a chain reaction of breakouts causing me to reminisce about the good ole days of my teenage youth. I have been using this serum for about a month now and my skin has changed immensely. It’s softer, more radiant, no more dry patches, and has evened out my complexion.

I would not call this a serum though, it is more like a gel that feels like it has a dense texture due to the silicone, but goes on light as a feather. It also has a subtle refreshing smell of citrus fruit like grapefruit or oranges. A little does go a long way with the antioxidant facial serum. I use about 1 to 2 small pea size pumps (photo shown) a day and I still have not put a dent in the tube. And, one more thing, be sure to shake out the air bubbles from the product. Otherwise you will be standing there for all eternity trying disperse your product out of the tube. I learned this the hard way and all I had to do was read the back of the packaging, which it clearly stated to do! You live and learn, or in my case learn to be more patient. Trader Joe’s antioxidant serum is perfect for all skin types including those who are sensitive prone. After reading this kind of nourishing news I would like to think you may just want to try this one out for yourselves. Stay beautiful! Xo

Flower Beauty Skincognito Stick Foundation Review:

Disguise your skins identity glamour babes with the Flower Beauty Skincognito Stick available at Walmart. Each stick retails for the very reasonable price of $8.98 and comes in eight natural shades that will work for any complexion. I know I always say that I do not care for foundations because of there heaviness and pore clogging disadvantages to my skin, but I was curious to see how Drew’s foundation worked due to it being cruelty free, paraben free, and the line is partially vegan! (please read labels). I must admit, it was a little hard for me to choose a shade because they go by a number system (SF1, SF2, etc…) and there was no nice lady at the Walmart counter to help me find my correct shade. I had to do this all on my own (ba ba bum) but I figured most of my concealers, BB’s, CC’s and foundations run in the light/medium family, so I went with SF2, which is a warm light medium foundation stick with a yellow undertone (jackpot!). The stick foundation comes in a standard swivel tube making it ideal for on the go.

It has a creamy lighter than air finish that glides onto your skin smoothly, blends easily (for best results use a face blending brush, this will prevent streaks) and creates a natural finish. I would not call this stick a foundation since foundation does tend to run on the heavier side and provides more coverage. This goes on sheer, more like a BB or CC stick that helped take care of my minor flaws (blotchiness, subtle acne scars, uneven skin tone) and made my skin look dewy and gorgeous. This had me beaming with utter joy. For a “foundation” product that is not oil-free I was shocked to see that it did not make my skin anymore oilier than it already is. I wore this for an 8 hour day and my skin remained in tact with just the usual oily t-zone and no flare ups of any kind. I know everyone’s skin can react differently to a face product, but I totally think this is worth giving some attention to the next time you drop by and visit Flower Beauty . And, if your sensitive there is a natural anti-inflammatory (Gotu-Kola) infused in each stick to help soothe any irritations or inflammation your skin may have. Drew’s goal was to make “high end cosmetics at drugstore prices” giving you the quality cosmetics you want and deserve. I’m starting to think this is going to be the beginning of a flowerful relationship. Stay beautiful! xo.

Confessions of a Beauty Blogger Tag:

I was tagged by the awesome Sandy from TheLippieObsession. Thanks for the tag! and enjoy the read, xo. Please give my girl Sandy much love and check out her site, she is the best!

1. When did you start your blog? October 1, 2014, I’m still a newbie to the whole blogging scene.

2. Why did you start a blog? Honesty, I have no reason. It was a gift from my co-workers who obviously saw something I did not and I just went with it and had fun. I can’t let a perfectly thoughtful present go to waste.

3. When did you start becoming serious about starting a blog? I just went with the flow and as each day went on and the more people liked, commented, and followed my material, I thought to myself I may have something here that could be beneficial to myself and to the viewers.

4. How many hours a week do you spend planning/writing/uploading posts? I spend about 30 hours a week or sometimes more (total workaholic). I work four days a week and I am grateful to have 3 days to myself to unwind and dedicate the time to my blog.

5. What has been your biggest challenge about blogging? Writing my pieces! I can get such terrible writers block at times and then I notice that I begin to procrastinate (bad sam!).

6. When is it easiest for you to write your posts? Night time, everything is at a standstill and I can get my best clarity.

7. What makes writing posts comfortable for you? I get to be myself, which is bubbly and fun!

8. Where do you see your blog in one year? I never thought about it really, hopefully it will be successful.

9. What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging? Getting to know other bloggers and supporting one another.

10. What’s your worst makeup/hair habit? My worst hair habit is when I am absolutely lazy or have no time to wash my hair, I push it back into a pony tail and wear a newspaper boy hat followed by a stylish pair hoops. If I do not do this I look a bit boyish lol.

11. What’s one quote you wish the world would live by? “be in love with your life. Every minute of it.” -Jack Kerouac

12. How long do you spend getting ready everyday? I give myself an hour in the morning. As a manager in the hair industry you have to look your best and I am the one who people see first thing before their appointment starts, so I have to give myself that time to look put together.

13. What’s your favorite post on your blog? Everything! I can’t pick a favorite they were all posted with love.

14. Who is a beauty blogger that you think deserve more subscribers that they have? I hate these questions because they are so hard. I think everyone deserves the best and huge success with their blogs. But I am also the type that feels it doesn’t matter how many followers or subscribers you have, if you got what it takes and are determined, everything and more will come to you.

15. What’s one thing you’re excited about in the coming year? Going to Vegas for the IBS show in June! It’s been one long year and I need some sun, fun, beauty, and penny slots 😀

16. What has been your favorite blogging moment? I love to read the comments and reply to all of my viewers. I enjoy having a connection with my fellow bloggers.

17. How long does it take to prep for a post?  Hours, I am a total perfectionist, and I want to make sure everything is on point.

18. Are you wearing jeans/ skirt right now or are you wearing pajama bottoms? Skinny Jeans

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Anarchy, Cat fight, 69, and F-Bomb Review :

Once you go bad-ass you’ll never go back glamour babes with Urban Decay’s Revolution Lipstick. Available online and at your local Sephora for $22 each, these gorgeous lipsticks have a shade range that reach far and wide. From your nudist of nudes to your boldest brights, you want it, they got it! I have much love and respect for Urban Decay for a few reasons: they are vegan, use no animal derived products, are paraben free, and totally made my lips look killer with their lip shades in the process. That being said, after careful decision making, shade testing, and four colors later I went home with Anarchy (bright hot pink), Cat Fight (pink-fuchsia with a slightly red undertone), 69 (bright red with pink undertone), and F-bomb (classic red).

Each lipstick is formulated with a nourishing blend of jojoba oil, avocado oil, cocoa butter, and shea butter that will keep your lips beautifully moisturized and super soft. There is a lip plumper and hydrator infused within the ingredients as well called maxi-lip. It does give your lips a bit of a boost, but nothing crazy, so not to worry if your not fan of duck lips. When applying each one, every shade was different and bolder from the rest. The color application is a walk in the park. Just one time around your pout, that’s it, no muss, no fuss, that’s how Urban Decay Rolls. The texture is super creamy and rich with a nice shine that’s not overwhelming and will not cause blindness. The case is definitely a jaw dropper and will probably make you want the lipstick all the more. Especially, when they are all lined up like little lipstick soldiers waiting to be taken home to be played with. It is a custom designed gunmetal tube, lined in dark purple with their emblem design (UD) stamped atop of the cap (chic and mysterious, just like a woman, I love it!). They are also unbreakable! I cannot tell you how many times I have dropped my lipstick (concrete, work, bathroom) and I did not get a crack or chip on the tube. The color payoff is superb, all day wear with very minimal fading and that’s with food and beverage girls. To all you loyal UD junkies out there, Urban Decay is currently having a friends and fanatics event for 20% off your purchase. Use code TAKEITOFF at checkout. You may want to stock up on some lipstick (hint, hint, wink, wink). Urban Decay does not lie when they say their lip colors are insanely pigmented. They do stand out, loud, proud and are a cut above the rest and I loved every lip saturated minute of it. Make a statement of your own and cause a lip revolution, you may go down in lipstick history. Stay beautiful! xo.
