Makeup Revolution Brow Revolution (Auburn) Review:

Brows be on serious fleek with Makeup Revolutions Brow Revolution glamour babes. I had no idea Makeup Revolution came out with a fiber brow gel, and let me just say it was the best $9.00 investment I made.

I was using their Ultra Brow Palette (medium/dark) for the longest time until I got sick of my brows looking like Groucho Marx. Lol. After a few short hours they would smudge and feather out uncontrollably, and would look a fright. Not exactly the look I was going for. Halloween isn’t coming for another 202 days. Long story short, I dropped the palette, it broke, creating one disheveled bathroom. Jumbled pieces of brow powders were flown in every which way. Oh what a delight that was to clean! And I meant that in the most sarcastic way possible, lol.

Anyhoodles, a quick drive to Ulta helped defuse my brow situation as I was scoping out brow gels to try. Lo and behold Makeup Revolution presented itself, slapping me in the face with a new product right at the very top of the display case-Brow Revolution! Yoink!

So why is this the best $9.00 investment?! Because the brow gel allows you to define, shape, and texturize your brows naturally in as little 2 minutes! The fine tip of the brow gel wand and brow brush makes all of this possible, giving you even and precise applications. It’s so easy to use, it’s ridiculous!Apply and blend the brow gel along your natural arch using small, upward strokes. Use the applicator brush to fill in and define brows. Ta-da! Awww, how sweet! My brows are friends again. I love a happy ending.

The auburn formula is creamy, lightweight, highly pigmented, waterproof, budge proof, transfer proof, and buildable. Seriously, this fiber brow gel does not move, lasting for hours and hours on end.

Since it is waterproof, you do need an oil based makeup remover to remove your beautifully arched creations. Otherwise you and your brows are having a sleepover, which could be fun!

There are four shades available- Auburn, Soft Brown, Medium Brown, and Dark Brunette. I think MUR needs to come out with a few more shades. They’re missing a key one here, helllllooooooo, blonde? Where’d ya go? We need you!

What do you think of the Brow Revolution? Does it arch your brows like a pro?

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Pixi Endless Brow Gel Pen Review:

I did not think Pixi’s Endless Brow Gel Pen would have lived up to my expectations, but surprisingly it did glamour babes.

I’ve always had a love/hate relationship with brows pencils for a few reasons.
– The constant need to sharpen them. Oy! Such a pain in the caboose.
– They tend to fade and smudge over time.
– Once sharpened they never seem to hold their shape of a fine point or they break some more. Hence having the need to sharpen over and over again until you have a nub for a brow pencil, lol.
– Lastly, Why (and don’t tell me its a crooked letter), does the tip always have to break off during mid application?! Why?! No matter how lightly I apply pressure when penciling in my brows, snap, seriously?……epic fail.

Thankfully, I haven’t had three out of the four issues thus far. Sharpening the pencil is a given, considering the fact it is not a twistable pen. I’m still a happy camper regardless.
The formulation is exactly like their Endless Silky Eye Pencils, try them if you haven’t. Simply put, they are divine. Smooth, creamy, long lasting, smudge proof, waterproof, they contain conditioning panthenol and vitamins C & E, and they glide on like butta as well. The pencil also has great pigmentation, produces full coverage and is buildable.
Go to town on building a rich brow, no matter the turn out, they’ll still look naturally beautiful.

I only wish Pixi had more shade variations. Light (neutral light taupe), Medium (neutral ash brown), and Deep (neutral cocoa grey) can work for so many. I own Medium. It is a nice shade of brown, and gives the brows lovely natural look, which I absolutely love, but I wouldn’t have mind seeing a little more warmth added into the pencil, like an auburn shade for redheads or possibly a more chocolatey color. I’m hoping more will be added to the collection. Pixi’s Endless Brow Gel Pens are something I want to invest in because they work so well, are pretty affordable ($11), and are super convenient to pick up at Target when I’m in a pinch. The color last hella long! All day, the way you applied the shade is the way it stays, and it is totally smudge proof, and water resistant. Brows be lookin on fleek erryday with this brow gel pen.

Have you tried Pixi’s Brow Gel Pen? Love? Hate? A little bit of both? Give me the scoop!

Stay beautiful, xo.

Colourpop Brow Colour (Red Head and Arched Auburn) Review:

For those of you who haven’t tried Colourpop’s Brow Colour, you need to get on that ASAP because all I can say is WOW glamour babes! My brows are on fleek and point 24/7 when wearing this stuff! I was always more of a brow gel, pomade, cream whatever you wanna call it kinda of girl, brow pencils just never did it for me. The tips would always seem to break no matter how light handed I could be, leading to product waste, and some serious dineros down the drain, not cool. And, I felt brow pencils never lasted as long as brow gels, I gotta say you get a lotta bang for your buck ($6) out of Colourpop’s Brow Colour.

I actually purchased two of Colourpop’s Brow Colours in Red Head and Arched Auburn. I was curious to see which shades complimented my complexion and strawberry locks best, let’s see how this showdown went, shall we?!

Red Head is a mid tone red brown

Arched Auburn is a soft gingery auburn

There are 8 brow colour shades in total including Brow Pencils from Colourpop that works for every skin tone and hair color shade out there.

Just putting it out there, I think Colourpop mislabeled the shade names Red Head and Arched Auburn, they should switch brow roles. Arched Auburn definitely works for us lighter haired bubbly red heads such as strawberry blondes, and copper redheads. Redhead really belongs to those auburn beauties and deep dark mysterious redheads we can’t put our finger on, lol.

A little does go a long way with Colourpop’s Brow Colour, so apply in increments, it’s very build-able, and the shade your brows desire can easily be achieved!
The formula of each Brow Colour is lightweight, has a mousse like texture that is very creamy, super opaque, wears comfortably, glides on the brows easily, and can easily be removed with a makeup wipe or remover. I love that Red Head and Arched Auburn do not smudge, or run off my face as the day goes on, it’s stays put all day, even during those hot summer muggy days NYC has been having lately.

Both shades produced very natural color, covering my dish watery, ashy blonde brows impeccably, and they matched my hair (strawberry blonde) and skin tone (fair) perfectly.
I believe this brow tint showdown is a tie, I’m loving both shades, but I will be keeping Colourpop’s Red Head Brow Colour aside for when the autumn leaves begin to fall, and I decide to transpire to the darker shade of red. Yep, I’m going to be a deep, dark, and mysterious enigma, y’all can’t point a finger on. How sexy does that sound?! Lol.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Brow Powders for The Red-Headed Review:

For those glamour babe redheads out there, I dedicate this to you! I have always struggled trying to find any eyebrow product for a redhead. I almost felt like the stores were discriminating against our eyebrows, because let’s face it girls redheads do have more fun (wink!). But after much soul searching through the web, drugstores and beauty stores I finally hit the mother load and discovered these great eyebrow products for you girls. Check out NYX cosmetics for the perfect brow powders, gels and pencils in the shade Auburn, that’s right girls I said Auburn (please note that the brow gel from NYX in the photo is called chocolate, but it is recommended for redheads). These will keep those misbehaving brows of yours sculpted, defined and perfectly precise that won’t fade or smudge. I should know, after trying the brow powder and gel. I was thrilled that it didn’t decide to magically run off my face and stayed put all day, and no one knew my true identity (yes ladies, my secrets out, I’m a blonde. Eek!). Your wallet will sure love you to since it will cost you between $5 to $7 dollars to keep your brows beautifully concealed without anyone knowing your beauty brow secrets girls will be envious for. Another favorite brow line of mine I have discovered is Anastasia Beverly Hills available at Sephora. I’ll admit it can be pricey, but if you decide to splurge on yourself I highly recommend this line. Anastasia creates a beautiful natural brow effect with Her brow powder duo ($23) in shade Auburn. It’s lightweight, sheer to medium coverage formula was designed to be smudge-proof and comes with two shades to ensure the perfect brow color. It can also can be combined with her smudge-free, creamy formula dip brow pomade ($18) giving you a flawless arch. Stay Beautiful! Xo
