Kat Von D Lock It Concealer Review:

You’ll never believe what I spotted and purchased at Marshall’s this time glamour babes. Go on, take a guess…..Give up? Okay, I’ll bite. It’s Kat Von D’s Lock it Concealer!!!!

This bad girl normally costs $25 for 0.58 Fl Oz. at Sephora and KVD Beauty, and I got it for $4.99. How crazy is the price difference?! I saved $20! Sorry for the unattractive pic. The high end cosmetics are now located at checkout, so you know how that goes. Ain’t no body got time for makeup junkies holdin up the line, lol.

There were only two shades available-Deep 38 and Medium 26. I bought Medium 26, also known as original tan. I am aware that I am no where near a medium shade on the concealer charts, but I didn’t care. I have plenty of fair toned foundations and BB Creams to mix my new medium with.

To my surprise, the concealer is not as dark as how the tube portrays it to be. It is actually more of a light medium (neutral with yellow undertone) than a full on medium shade, and I really like it.

The water resistant liquid formula is smooth, creamy, lightweight, comfortable to wear, easy to apply, blendable, buildable, does not oxidize or clog pores, suitable for normal, oily, combo skin types, and sets in a beautiful matte finish.

*Shake well before use.

I felt that the coverage was more medium than full. Kat Von D’s Lock It Concealer camouflaged everything but the redness I had from a few blemishes. I had to go the extra step and lightly bake on some of Wet n Wilds Photo Finish Pressed Powder to hide my additional flaws. It’s a favorite of mine. The powder is lightweight, not to mention affordable, and doesn’t produce a cakey looking veil once everything is said and done. My skin looked impeccably flawless afterwards

If you have oily or oily/combination skin. Don’t fret. Skin stays matte throughout the day. During the course of a 10 hour work shift, there was barely any oil peeking through my t-zone. What’s another word for incredible? Wonderful, fantastic, awesome, great. Yea, this concealer are all of those adjectives in a nutshell.

I gotta get my hands on another one. Let’s hope I can find it for the same price again.

Have you tried KVD Beauty’s Lock It Concealer?

What are your thoughts?

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Flower Beauty Hollywood Secret Concealer Kit Review:

I’m spilling the beans glamour babes, I cannot keep Flower Beauty’s Hollywood Secret Concealer Kit ($14 0.03 oz) a secret any longer-It’s amazing! This travel friendly, all in one kit had everything I needed to lighten, brighten, conceal, and correct my complexion effortlessly and flawlessly in no time. It was pretty much all I used while I was away in the Dominican Republic, along with Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Water Foundation (deluxe sample) Broad Spectrum SPF 15. Let me tell you, the two worked seamlessly together on my oily skin. I’m glad I decided to take them on the journey. The Flower Beauty Hollywood Secret Concealer Kit is housed in a slim, sturdy white compact that includes a dual sided concealer brush, and has a clear window viewing four of the following shades:

Brightening Primer-this primer provides an even base for concealer and lightens dark circles before concealer application.Drew needs to sell the brightening primer separately, it’s everything! I prefer using it alone and absolutely love the way the primer brightens my eyes while erasing dark circles instantly. The whitish concealer base melts right into skin, leaving no trace of a casper like appearance around the eye area. Good stuff!

Anti-redness Concealer- is an olive toned concealer that neutralizes redness. This is yet another concealer that needs to be bottled and sold separately. I don’t mind the green pastel color correctors, they do work. But I feel no matter how much I blend, I can’t seem to get rid of the underlying greenish tint afterwards. Am I not blending hard enough? Lol. I didn’t have this issue with the olive concealer, it cancels out redness impeccably, and doesn’t leave a greenish hue on skin once set.

The light and dark concealer shades can be used alone or combined to match your skin tone. This kit is suitable for fair to medium skin tones. These two concealers are too light for deeper skin-mixed or not.

The concealer formulation is great. It’s lightweight, creamy, hydrating, super gentle on skin, opaque, does not clog pores, long lasting, comfortable to wear, easy to apply, blends well, does not cake or streak, and provides medium coverage. It’s also free of GMO’s, Talc, Sulfates, and Phthalates. What more could you ask for in a concealer kit?! It’s absolute, and works for all skin types, even acne prone (right here) and sensitive skin.

Now that the secret is out, what do you think of the Hollywood Concealer Kit? Could it be the perfect concealed weapon to a pretty complexion?

Do share!

Stay beautiful, xo.

ELF Cosmetics Color Correcting Stick (Green, Lilac, Peach) Review:

Well, its about time ELF Cosmetics decided to come to the colorful side and create their own Color Correcting Concealer Stick! I have been waiting FOREVER for this to happen glamour babes! Haven’t you?!
I absolutely love, love, love ELF concealer. It’s super duper affordable, blends beautifully, provides great coverage, and I never ever breakout, EVER! I’ll get the occasional white head here and there, but those are easy to take out with a pore extractor, blemishes not so much, lol.

What are color correcting concealers? They are concealers that come in an array of colors that target skin concerns to instantly help cancel and neutralize color imperfections, creating a more flawless and even complexion.

What shades does ELF have?

Green, Lilac, Peach, and Orange (suitable for deeper skin tones).

What does each shade do?

Green helps to reduce redness from rosacea, sunburns, and blemishes.

Lilac helps brighten sallowness or yellowness for a healthy looking glow.

Peach helps to illuminate and conceal dark circles or hyperpigmentation on light skin tones.

Orange helps to illuminate and conceal dark circles or hyperpigmentation on deeper skin tones.

ELF’s Color Correcting Sticks are twistable, smooth, creamy, lightweight, infused with vitamin E for hydration, are blendable, easy to use and produce medium coverage.

You can use these under or over your favorite foundation, BB Cream, CC Cream, and/or Concealer, they are pretty buildable, and do not cake up. They literally melt into the skin during applications and have a good amount of hydration. I wouldn’t wear the green or lilac on naked skin. Even though they blend in effortlessly, I noticed there was a subtle hue of pastel colors lingering when the natural light hit my skin. To fix this, I just use ELF’s HD liquid concealer ($3) on top of the green, and lilac to achieve an even mix when used together. Use your blending sponge when using these concealers, it works wonders! Redness from my blemishes are muted, dark circles have disappeared, and that sweet shade of lilac brightens up my whole face. I have not yet to break out when wearing them all together, and they hold up well. I didn’t need to touch up my skin for a full 8 hours. My skin looked flawless with a capital F, and some setting spray didn’t  hurt either, lol.

As of right now, ELF’s Color Correcting Concealers ($4) have not yet reached all of their stores, they are available online. I could not wait to get mine so, obviously I ordered them through the site, lol. To check if the newest items have arrived you could always call the closest ELF Store near you. The sales representatives are always happy to help from what I have experienced. I get lovely, helpful girls all the time.

Are you going to try them?! Which shade will it be?! Green? Lilac? Peach? Orange?! All of the above?!

I gotta know! The suspense is killing me! Don’t forget to leave your comments below (wink).

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer (Radiance) Review:

I am becoming obsessed with eye brightening concealers to the point where I may just become an expert at locating the good ones glamour babes. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I think I would kick butt as an eye brightening concealer specialist if it were a real profession, lol. Siggghhhhhh, if only. Well, I can happily say you don’t have to look any further besides your local Walmart store. Hard Candy’s Sheer Envy Eye Brightening Concealer ($6) will help lift your dark circle woes in a blink of an eye! Eye humor, lol…..Ahem…….Moving on…..

I recently reviewed NYX’s Hydra Touch Eye Brightening Pencil ($9) in Radiance, and I absolutely loved it. The part that I didn’t love after while was having to sharpen the pencil every time I needed a new tip. Call me high maintenance if you like, I couldn’t deal with having to tote my sharpener around at all times. The bottom of my makeup bag was beginning to look like a hamster cage due to all of the pencil shavings, very annoying. I much prefer twist-able crayons or clickable wands like Hard Candy’s.

Let’s see what this baby can do for us boys and goils!

The lightweight formula of radiance (pink) helps ease signs of fatigue for a refreshed, radiant complexion. It combines 10 benefits in a single, powerful liquid to reduce puffiness, diffuse shadows, soften wrinkles, and blur lines, all while correcting, lifting, and brightening skin. The medium coverage serum is infused with Hard Candy’s unique Sheer Envy primer complex that offers long lasting coverage for all day wear. The creamy 0.8 oz Hard Candy concealer evens skin tones, giving skin an all over smooth glowing appearance, and it can be worn alone, under or over foundation.

Sounds too good to be true right?! Wrong! I wear the radiance concealer (two other shades are available, light and medium) alone because it provides enough coverage for me, and it camouflages my dark circles beautifully as my fine lines, dark shadows disappear once this creamy concealer has been blended in with my mini oval brush (a god send to blur imperfections).

Did I mention it’s clickable?!?!?! Sayonara pencil shavings, my makeup bag no longer belongs to an invisible hamster, lol! Can you see the difference in my pics?! My eyes do look pretty lifted, more open, and awake, don’t you think?!

When it comes down to the puffiness, I can’t truly say that the Sheer Envy Brightening Concealer aids in this matter. I don’t really experience puffy eyes in the morning, only if I am super dehydrated the night before. So keep in mind, water is your best friend ladies and gents, as are tea bags, and cucumber slices to keep that skin around your eyes hydrated (wink). Hard Candy’s concealer holds all day long and strong. It does not crease, smudge, or wear off, or leave a weird oily residue on the lids. I love this concealer so much! This will be my brightening concealer for awhile, its got the magic touch, why ruin a good thing? Lol. Consider the trip to Walmart and grab one, you’ll be so happy you did!

Stay beautiful! Xo.
