Wet n Wild Mega Cushion Foundation Review:

Happy Weekend loves! Today I wanted to talk about Wet n Wild’s New MegaCushion Foundation with SPF 15 ($8.99 for 0.52oz). I absolutely adore WNW MegaCushion (Highlight, Contour, Color Correction) line, and this one is no exception. This foundation is definitely a must try if you haven’t gone out and purchased it yet.

Product Description:

It’s a match made in makeup heaven! Liquid foundation in a cushion compact. Tap the cushion to add just the right amount of coverage or double tap to add more. It’s perfectly portable too, with an air tight, no mess compact that makes applying liquid foundation a breeze. Infused with coconut derivative, the luminous, lightweight, and buildable formula helps boost hydration and contains SPF 15 for added skin protection.

I am a huge fan of broad spectrum infused liquid foundations and BB Creams. I don’t normally wear a face cream during the day due to my oily skin, so I tend to skip out on the morning moisturizing routine. I uusually apply a primer (elf blemish control, my personal fave) and buff on a bit of SPF foundation or BB cream that provides medium to full coverage, which keeps me looking flawless, free from harmful radicals, non-greasy, and hydrated enough as to where I don’t break out. Two thumbs up WNW for the SPF protection.

There are nine shades available, ranging in tones of light ivory for porcelain skin to tawny for deeper complexions. I went on a whim and bought cream ivory. This is when I wish WNW would start making testers in CVS and Walgreens, but to my surprise it matched perfectly with my skin tone.

Cream Ivory is a soft warm beige that compliments light to medium skin tones.

The formula is super lightweight, creamy, hydrating, comfortable to wear, easy to apply, blendable, does not oxidize, goes on evenly, provides medium coverage, and has a satin finish, creating a natural, luminous look.

I did not find the MegaCushion foundation to be buildable at all. I had a few red spots that I could not conceal no matter how much I applied. I needed the assistance of a concealer (WNW Photo Focus) to help cover up the redness. This works well alone on slight imperfections, just not so much on redness and dark spots. Keep that in mind.

P.S. The thin cushiony applicator puff included in the compact works awesome when applying the foundation. It glides on the skin effortlessly.

I do highly recommend this for dry skin or possibly combination skin types. The MegaCushion Foundation has a good amount of hydration, and does not settle into fine lines or wrinkles. It melts beautifully into the skin.

I was very shocked that I had no issues with this foundation. I thought the coconut oil would have been excessive for my oily skin, clogging my pores and producing uncontrollable breakouts. Something that I always fear when trying a newly released foundation. My doubts proved me wrong.

The wear lasted over eight hours with the foundation staying intact. There was a bit of oil peeking through my t-zone. Not to worry, there’s nothing that a mattifying powder can’t handle to absorb some oils. And, I had not one breakout! Sigh of relief.

This is definitely a keeper and repurchase.

Wet n Wild’s MegaCushion Foundation is available at CVS, Walgreens, and wetnwildbeauty.com.
