Becca Cosmetics Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss Review:

Sooooooo……What do we think of Becca’s Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss? ($22 for 0.17 Fl. oz)
It’s beautiful right?!

I understand it might not be for everyone, but I am simply enchanted by this gloss. Rose Quartz x Seashell is so damn prettay, as are the other five shades. I need to have them all in my life at some point.

Rose Quartz x Seashell is a light rosy pink gloss with a hot pink shift.

What does it do?

Inspired by raw gemstones melted into liquid form, kaleidoscopic pearls shift shades as they catch the light to take every lip look to the next level. Each shade features a custom mix of unique pearls blended together to create a multi-dimensional finish that flatters all skin tones. The conditioning lip gloss formula is infused with a luxurious coconut and vanilla scent and enriched with nurturing ingredients that leave lips feeling lavishly soft and smooth.
Becca’s glow gloss can be worn two ways- alone or on top of your favorite lippies. I just happen to love wearing this on its own. The soft pink tint along with the subtle sheen stands out nicely and is quite noticeable from afar. The shimmer particles are not chunky or over the top. They are micro fine, which gives lips a naturally gorgeous elegance to them without looking cheap or possibly childish.

The non-sticky formula is lightweight, glossy, moisturizing, creamy, comfortable to wear, applies smoothly and evenly, and has subtle pigmentation.
My one criticism about Becca’s Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss is the taste if it enters your mouth. Its has more of a strong floral flavor to me than sweet. Not exactly palette pleasing.

The longevity varies. When worn alone- 4 hours. Liquid lipstick- all day. Traditional lipstick (depending on finishes) 4-6 hours.

The sparkle does remain on the lips as the gloss tapers down, but it still looks attractive to where you’ll want to keep it on.

Becca’s Liquid Crystal Glow Gloss is available at Sephora and BeccaCosmetics.com

Pixi Gel Tint and Silk Gloss Review:

I have been going about Pixi’s Get Tint and Silk Gloss ($12 for 0.11oz) all wrong glamour babes. I thought for some odd reason the gel tint was a stain for cheeks and the gloss was for the lips. Clearly, I gotta start reading the product details on the packaging, lol. Product Details:

• Long-lasting lip tint gives a beautiful stained effect

• Gloss keeps lips hydrated & nourished

• Adds a natural brillance

• Use separately or layer

• Doesn’t dry lips out, hydrating

• Paraben free

• Travel friendly

• Not tested on animals

Regardless of my faux pas, I think you could get away with using the tint and gloss for both the face and lips. Why not?! I’ve seen YouTube vids where makeup artists use eyeshadow as blush. You say Tomato, I say tomahto, it’s virtually the same thing, right? Lol.

Pixi’s Gel Tint and Silk Gloss come in three juicy summertime shades:

BerryTint & SweetGloss BeachTint & FreshGloss  PinkTint & PrettyGloss I really do love these for the summer. They are so lightweight and comfortable to wear, giving skin and lips a nice sheer pop of color, providing hydration with a subtle fragrance of peppermint. It’s like a refreshing cocktail for your lips! Thirsty anyone?

The stain and gloss can be worn separately or layered together for added dimension. Or, you can pull my faux pas and use the tint as a blush and the gloss for the lips. It’s a beautiful contrast and flattering on all skin tones.

The long lasting lip tint gives lips a stained effect lasting for hours, while the gloss creates a healthy, shiny lip look. Love these! Did I say that already? Lol.

Pixi’s Gel Tint and Silk Gloss are available at PixiBeauty.com and Target

Which one are you going to get?

Wet n Wild Pop! Back to School Collection Color Icon Lip Gloss (Raised on Good Corals, Strawberries and Femme, and Very Well Red) Review:

Now that school is back in session, I thought it’d be most appropriate to learn all about Wet n Wild’s new POP! Back to School Color Icon Lip Gloss glamour babes! You got your pens and notebooks ready?! Excellent! Let’s start jotting down some notes……

Wet n Wild’s POP! Color Icon Lip Gloss is part of their fall limited edition Pop Art Collection that also consists of false lashes, and nail polishes. I always have luck finding the newer Wet n Wild Collections at Rite Aid, never CVS or Walgreens, and they are always in full stock.

I wasn’t truly wowed by the line-up. I could honestly do without the false lashes in this collection. They looked too heavy, bulky, and cheap in my opinion. What I was truly hoping to see was some fall inspired blushes, highlighters, and deeper autumnal toned polishes. I needed warm coppers, rich brown, luscious berries, and vampy reds, where were they hiding?! Lol. I get that Pop Art is really about bold, fun, and loud colors, but changing it up never hurt. I’m sure Andy Warhol wouldn’t have minded, in fact I bet he would have loved this idea! Art is a mere form of expression, is it not?

Oh well, you can’t always get what you want. I was happy enough to purchase three out of the six Color Icon Lip Glosses that’s in the collection; Raised on Good Corals, Strawberries and Femme, and Very Well Red sorta gave me a fall feeling.

The other three colors didn’t really speak to me nor would have worked with my complexion, which were; Jackie a La Mode (pale pink), Lilac Theatre (pale lilac), and Violet in Furs (deep purple).

Raised on Good Corals is a peachy coral

Strawberries and Femme is a milky pink

Very Well Red is a cherry red.

The formulation is slick, light weight, easy to apply, comfortable to wear, moisturizing,

non-sticky, and has a high shine jelly finish. Each of the glosses provide a doe foot wand making life a whole lot easier with a precise application, and sheer to medium coverage. Raised on Good Corals and Strawberries and Femme are definitely sheer in this bunch since I had to apply two coats to get the color to show on my lips for ya’ll. Very Well Red has medium coverage, and one coat is only needed.

I like the pigmentation of Wet n Wild’s Color Icon Glosses, they are soft and subtle. There are days I don’t feel like throwing on a bold lipstick when doing everyday things, and these do the trick if I need some moisturizing with a lovely tint of color. They do feather a bit, but its not very noticeable with the shades I chose.
The wear I wasn’t too happy about. I got about an hour and a half wear with and without eating or drinking. I figured this much though, most of the lip glosses I own from Wet n Wild don’t last long. No biggie, I only ended up paying $6 for all of them ($1.99 a piece). I’ll just use them when my lips need some extra conditioning as we head into winter.

Have you tried Wet n Wild’s Back to School Collection?! Could you please share your thoughts among the class?!

I hope this makeup lesson was insightful. Class is now dismissed! See you soon!

Stay beautiful, xo.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL Lip Gloss (clearvoyance) Review:

If you want to achieve big lush lips with a lip plumper glamour babes, than Soap & Glory’s Sexy Mother Pucker Pillow Plump XXL Lip gloss ($14) In Clearvoyance would not be my first pick for you.

I know I don’t need my lips any fuller than they already are, but I was curious to see if plumper glosses really work, and Soap & Glory’s happened to be staring right at me, so why not try it?! I wish I had not tried it.

Clearvoyance has a high clear glassy shine that carries a dash of shimmer inside the gloss. Yes, the clear gloss looks very pretty on creating a lovely soft, pillowy pout. But there is one thing standing in the way when using this plumper, the heat! And not just a little heat.

The Pillow Plump XXL formulation has a natural flower oil infusion and a 3XL peptide plump complex, components of which have been shown in in-vitro (not sure how I feel about that) tests to help give an auto plump built-in cushioning effect. And, it is most likely you’ll notice a bit of a buzz (knackered is more like it, lol).

“A bit of a buzz” is putting it nicely, and I can’t blame Soap & Glory at all. No one would ever buy this if they exclaimed you’re likely to experience a holy s**t my lips are burning sensation! Which was the reaction I had, but not right away, smh.

At first, I got the heavenly intoxicating scent of chocolate orange as I applied the glassy gloss across my lips. A few seconds into the wear I started to feel a slight tingling sensation, nothing too bad, and I noticed that my lips began looking a bit more plump. Okay, this is good. A nice, light, comfortable gloss producing some oomph, cool beans, I like where this is going! I spoke too soon, a minute goes by, and I can feel the heat spreading and intensifying. Oh dear god, someone call the fire brigade, hose my lips with water, and get this gloss off of me!!!! No lie, I couldn’t get this Pillow Plumper off fast enough.

This literally stung the crap out of my lips, and my hand as I as swatching it, ouch! Geez, what’s really in this plumper anyway?! Pepper Spray?! The taste was horrible too, for something that smelled so sweet, how could it taste like pure rubbing alcohol?! I don’t even know how it creeped inside my mouth, I put very little on. Yuck, so gross!

Such a disappointment for a lip plumper because it actually does work. If you can stand the pain of a 1,000 bee stings, more power to ya. My lips were way too sensitive for this plumper. Back to Ulta you go you too Sexy for me Mother Pucker!

Stay beautiful! Xo.
