The Pixi Beauty Event was a night to remember and that I will never forget glamour babes. I was tickled pink when I received an invitation via email from Leilani Pitpipan, PR and associate manager of Pixi Beauty.
I have never in my life been invited to a beauty event, and I was beyond ecstatic to go. Kinda like Cinderella when her fairy god mother transforms her into a magical princess so she can attend the ball and meet her Prince Charming, lol.
This beautiful soirée was held at the Bouley Botanical in the heart of Tribeca in NYC. If you have never been to Bouley Botanical, you got to go and see it with your own eyes, its simply gorgeous. I have passed this building a million times, but I never have been inside of it. Chef David Bouley created the versatile venue, a living events space designed to excite all five senses, dedicated to the celebration of Private, Social, Wedding and Business Events. Think of Botanical as a blank canvas that can be themed through color LED lighting, media wall, state-of-the-art sound, video and decoration to fit the mood of your event. Located in TriBeCa at 281 Church Street (corner of White), Botanical envelopes your guests in an environ of pure ingredients, featuring 400+ edible species of plants growing in vertical window gardens, supported by the largest bio-dynamic green house in New England.
Bouley Botanical comfortably accommodates parties from 8 to 75 people for seated private dining events and up to 100 people for receptions (info found at David Bouley.com). Here are some photos I found via google images to give you an idea of what the space looks like. Pretty, right?!
The event was small nothing huge, which I don’t mind, I prefer a more intimate setting. Its easier to get to know one beauty blogger/vlogger from another. I’m guessing about 30 or 40 people attended. I didn’t count heads, I probably would have looked crazy to some. What is that redhead doing all the way over there? Why is she head counting all of us? Is there a roll call after the night is over?
I was fashionably late by an hour, not to worry, I didn’t turn into a pumpkin. I was greeted into the building by a sweet hostess, and as I walked up the stairs was greeted by another lovely girl who asked for my name, and the fun began! Right as I walked into the venue there was a table that had a beautiful display of Pixi’s new Limited Edition Holiday Collection (Endless Silky Eye Pen Kit, Ultimate Beauty Palette, and Fairy Dust Favorites), and from there, more tables were set with Pixi Beauty products including both skincare and makeup.
I was in heaven and I was able to swatch and test until my heart was content.
There was a makeup station to the far left corner if anyone was interested in getting a touch up by the makeup artist and needed some glam beauty advice. Oh! And there was a DIY satchel station, where I was able to create my own scented satchel (rose petals and lavender), how creative and Cumbaya! I loved every minute of it.
Of course I make one and drop it everywhere, lol! At least Leilani was kind enough to help me clean up my mess, thank you! She was super sweet through the whole event, and was helpful when answering all of my questions. There was a little bar in the back of the room that served lovely flavored waters, sparkling wine, and regular wine if ones thirst needed to be quenched. The atmosphere had a relaxing, mellow vibe, and the room was well lit due to the big open windows, soft lighting, and candle lighting at night. Good music was playing in the background as tapas were being served, they were delightful and light. Beef, fish, veggies, mini tacos, crispy light crackers served with cream and caviar on top, I felt quite fancy. Chocolates were served after all of the dishes were sent out. I thought that added a nice touch and satisfied my sweet tooth after everything I consumed. I walked around, observed, swatched, met a lot of nice people, and I got to meet the stunning Petra, founder and creator of Pixi Beauty. When I say she is stunning, she truly is stunning. She has a warm and loving personality as does her son Felix who attended and introduced himself to me. Before I was ready to leave she asked if I would like to take a photo with her in the photo booth they had set up in the back, and I excitedly said yes! Would you turn down an opportunity like that down? I don’t think so! She’s like a makeup celebrity!
How gorgeous is she in this pic we took together?! I want to be Petra when I grow up! As I made my way out, I received my goodie bag from Leilani, and she was more than humble when I requested to try two products from the table that weren’t in my bag.
In my two extra goodies went (Glowtion Day dew and 24K Eye Elixir), I said my goodbyes with a grateful heart, and I walked out floating like I was on cloud nine. I can’t thank Petra and Leilani enough for holding this beauty event in NYC and letting me attend. This truly was a wonderful dream come true for me, I feel grateful and blessed. Are you a fan of Pixi Products? Which product makes you glow from the inside and out?
Stay beautiful! Xo.
