Pixi Peel and Polish Review:

Holy Schnikes! Pixi’s Peel and Polish Resurfacing Concentrate ($24 2.71oz) is gud, I mean real gud glamour babes.I received three of these in the mail. Quite generous of Pixi Beauty as always. I wasn’t sure if I needed so many, but I think I do, now that summer is here. This resurfacing treatment leaves skin looking and feeling bright, healthy, and soft in the matter of a few minutes. Product Details:

• This radiance revealing enzyme peel resurfaces for smoother, softer skin, and a healthy looking glow

• Natural fruit enzymes loosen dead skins cells, 6% lactic acid gently exfoliates, cellulose peels & sugar extracts polishes, lifting away dullness revealing brighter skin

• Professional salon peel treatment without leaving home, but you can since it’s travel friendly too.

• Suited for all skin types

• Not tested on animals

• Paraben free

Just putting it out there in case any of ya’ll are curious. Pixi’s Peel and Polish is not exactly a peel off mask with added micro beads for exfoliation if that’s what comes to mind. I thought the same until I actually squeezed some out of the tube, and then I had an epiphany. Light bulb! Could the peel part of this whole skintreat be used as an expression for peeling impurities away from the face?! Hmmmmmm, I think I maybe on to something here, lol.

What came out of this pale peach, mess free tube, you ask? A lovely, creamy, lightweight peachy colored facial scrub that is applied to the face and neck dry. Make sure the skin is dry, otherwise it will not have the same effect. Can be used 2-3 times per week. Either AM or PM, it doesn’t matter. All this mask really needs is five minutes of your time to let the enzymes activate, then you can rinse off and pat dry. P.S. The scrub does not dry like a mud mask or peel would, rather it stays wet, nor does it leave a burning or tingling sensation. For a more intense polishing effect. Once your five minutes is up, using your finger tips, gently massage your face and neck. Can you feel those dead skin cells loosen as the non-abrasive, gentle sugary granules hoist away impurities? Good, that means its working and you’re a rinse away from beautiful, bright skin!

The skin loving natural ingredients such as Lactic Acid, Sunflower Seed Oil, Witch Hazel, Ginseng Root Extract, Papaya Fruit Extract, Sugar Cane Extract, Cucumber Fruit Extract, Orange Fruit Extract, and Lemon Fruit Extract help aid in the process.
There is a scent to the Peel and Polish. A cucumber/papaya fusion is what it smells like to me. I find the fragrance to be refreshing, others might disagree if their sniffers are sensitive to scents.

Pixi killed it with this treatment. I use it about 2 times per week and I already see an amazing difference in my skin tone. It’s more even, bright, soft, has a healthy glow, and my acne scars have lightened tremendously. Everything seems to absorb better into the skin as well. Whether it’s moisturizer, skin potions, foundations, or concealer, skin looks hella flawless. This also did not strip my skin like most enzyme peels have done in the past. The formulation is super gentle on the skin, which I believe makes it a good candidate for sensitive skin types. Oh, did I mention how clean my oily/acne prone/sensitive skin felt afterwards? Squeaky!

The power of exfoliation is within reach beauty junkies!

Pixi’s Peel and Polish is available at Target.com, PixiBeauty.com, and Dermstore.com

Once I have gone through my stash, I will be running back to Target for more.
May the glow be with you.

Pacifica Cocoa Rush Anti-Fatigue Mask Review:

Come with me and you’ll be in a world of pure imagination, we’ll begin with a spin, traveling in the world of Pacifica’s Cocoa Rush ($15) creation. What well see will defy explanation. Willy Wonka couldn’t have said better himself glamour babes.

If you’re a chocoholic like me, then you’ll want to get a taste (figuratively) of this anti-fatigue face mask Pacifica has whipped up in their factory. Your complexion has never looked sweeter.

What magical components are inside this 3 ounce tube of happiness?!

Why, isn’t it obvious? Cocoa of course! The antioxidant rich bean helps get rid of harmful free radicals and repairs skin to the way it once was-radiant!
Berry Happy Extract with Arctic Root: This combo of natural extracts combines super fruits, valued for their hydrating and antioxidant properties, and rhodiola rosea (arctic root).

Rhodiola rosea is an interesting plant ingredient that has been shown to promote the production of ß- endorphins, “the chemicals of happiness”, in the skin.

Coconut Water: We use coconut water in this formula as a hydrating carrier for beneficals.

Green Tea: A rich source of Epigallocatechin Gallate, or EGCG, regarded as one of the most powerful antioxidants available aside from cocoa.

Caffeine: A mild stimulant and when applied topically. It too is considered an antioxidant.

Put it all together and what do you get? A gorgeous, glowing happy face with hydration! At least that’s what I got out of it, lol.
Pacifica’s Cocoa Rush Anti-Fatigue Face Mask draws out the tired, dull, lifeless complexion right out of your skin and presents you with a new one. And it takes no time to do so.

First, apply a thick layer of this lightweight, creamy pudding onto clean skin. Simple enough right? Let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes. Enjoy the intoxicating scent of chocolate as you wait. Try not to lick the mask off. Rinse well or wipe away with a damp wash cloth, and say good-morning beautiful! How you doin? Lol. After washing away the pudding, my skin did look fab, but I felt a full nights rest helped in a big way as well. It looked much more energized, healthy, and awoken. Not to mention touchably soft, bright and hydrated. Look out world! My skin and I are ready to take on the tasks that lie ahead!

Take note that this doesn’t completely dry like a clay or mud mask. It stays slightly moist, hence the pudding texture.

You can grab your next chocolate fix at Ulta Beauty boys and girls. Just follow your nose! It is a 100% guilt free pleasure your skin is craving.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Pixi Beauty Sleep Cream Review:

Pleasant dreams glamour babes. As you are nestled, all snug in your beds while having visions of sugar plums dancing in your heads; Pixi’s Beauty Sleep Cream ($24) will do the rest by giving skin the most cherished gift of all, hydration! And lots of it!

Infused with 100% natural mango butter, plus oils of lavender, lemon, and bergamot. This night time nutrient rich cream not only calms and balances skin-tone, but protects, nourishes, and hydrates skin during peaceful nights of slumbering.

This Beauty Sleep Cream seriously works if your skin needs a hydration boost. My skin has been super dry lately, like Shara Desert dry. The winter weather has not been cooperating with my sensitive/oily skin, stripping away most of my natural oils; leaving my skin horribly chapped, and beyond irritated. I have tried many moisturizing creams, but nothing like this one, and I was going to purchase it until I read reviews of it being too heavy, not good for oily skin, doesn’t work etc….so I was hesitant, and decided to wait. A week later I received my Pixi PR Package, and low and behold a skin treat for me! Pixi’s Beauty Sleep Cream, Hazzaaahhhh!

For an emollient rich night cream, it is super lightweight, feather light. I was dumbstruck when dispersing this delicate, buttery soft night treatment into my hand. Huh? I thought overnight treatments are supposed to be heavy textured, submersing my skin in moisture, and clogging my pores in the process, what’s the catch? I was a little confused and baffled by this, but intrigued to take it for a trial run.

Once my skin was washed, dried, and toned for the night, I was ready to get cozy with some Beauty Sleep Cream. You don’t need much really, I used about two pumps, and my skin was completely covered. It absorbs nicely and quickly into the skin as does the scent. It has a lovely aroma of lavender with under lying notes of lemon and bergamot filtering through. I found this combination to be quite calming, relaxing, and gentle on my face after a long stressful day. The perfect nightcap in my opinion, lol. Nighty-night!

Fast forward to nine hours later…..great Odin’s Raven! my skin has been transformed! Everything I had feared from the reviews did not come to fruition; clogged pores, more breakouts, skin oiler than before, it doesn’t work. Doesn’t work?! Are you crazy!?!?! This lightweight, ultra emollient formula put the moisture back into my face. My skin is much more supple, calm, and balanced after all the wind burn I endured. I don’t use Pixi’s Beauty Sleep Cream every night before bed because of the richness it carries. Depending on the severity of dryness, I tend to apply every other night or once a week if all is quiet on the skin front. You gotta know what works best for your skin type. You know it better than anyone else does.

Have you tried Pixi’s Beauty Sleep Cream? Does your skin feel like a million bucks when you awaken sleeping beauties?! I bet it does.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Pacifica Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery Lotion Review:

This is another Pacifica find that I absolutely love and had to share because you may just end up loving it too glamour babes! I picked up Pacifica’s Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery Lotion ($18 for 1.7 Fluid Ounces) along with their Quinoa Sensitive Face Wash ($10) during Ulta’s BOGO sale back in March.

I know I sound like a broken record in my last few posts about these BOGO sales, but you do save so much money when racking up your Ulta points and being able to use coupons on top of those points. As much as I love Pacifica, some of their products don’t come cheap, and being coupon savvy helps when wanting to try new skin care without breaking the bank :D. FYI, this lotion works phenomenal when paired with the Quinoa Face wash, both have calendula and aloe to help calm inflammation on stressed, acne prone, and sensitive skin or any skin type as a matter of fact. Cactus water and Kale extract put moisture back into dehydrated and tired skin while keeping everyday stress factors that we tend to come across (environment, hormones, UV Rays) in check. My skin has been a hot mess a couple of months prior, my cystic acne flared up, I had horrible white heads, my face was beyond inflamed and irritated due to the cystic acne, and horrifically oily. Pacifica’s Cactus and Kale Oil Free Stress Recovery lotion helped big time when wanting to gently heal my acne fiasco. The lotion is super light weight, absorbs quickly into the skin without any greasy feel after application, and does not clog pores! I use it in the morning and at night, and I love how soft, supple, and healthy my complexion looks. The redness and swelling has greatly reduced, whiteheads…gone! I still have oily skin, but it has decreased a bit, I’m not as shiny. I do get breakouts from time to time, I’m not saying this completely healed my acne, it takes much more than a lotion to combat cystic acne, unfortunately. What I can say is, the Cactus and Kale lotion along side with the Quinoa Face Wash has made it more manageable and easier to keep under wraps due to all of the natural extracts, and the gentleness of both products. I am also on acne medication, which can make my skin feel tight and drier than the Sahara desert (I’m sure all ya’ll acne suffers can relate to this side effect), Pacifica’s lightweight lotion hydrates overnight! It feels so great not waking up to a dry, parched face in the morning, it can be really unattractive, lol! Oh! And one more thing, a little goes a long way, a pea sized amount should do the trick or at least start off with so you don’t waste this awesome sauce of a product.
