Pixi + ItsJudyTime Get The Look ItsEyeTime and ItsLipTime Review:

Happy Monday glamour babes! I hope everyone had a lovely spring break and wonderful Easter weekend. Spring was definitely in full bloom here in NYC and I couldn’t get enough of it! You couldn’t keep me indoors if you tried. Mother Nature has finally come out of hibernation and I had to take in earths natural beauty.

Anyhoodles, today I wanted to talk about Pixi + ItsJudyTime Get the Look ItsEyeTime and ItsLipTime Palettes. You can get these palettes at either Target or PixiBeauty.com for $24 each.

In case you were wondering as to who is Judy Travis. She is a Vlogger/Beauty Blogger on YouTube and has two popular channels-Itsjudytime and ItsMommysLife. Both focus on beauty and lifestyle. Of course she is going to do a collab with Pixi Beauty! Who would turn down that dream opportunity?! I know I wouldn’t. To collab with someone in the beauty industry is a huge deal/honor for a beauty blogger. I tip my hat to you Judy! Congrats!

The palettes are nice. I do however prefer ItsEyeTime over ItsLiptime.

I was never one for lip palettes. I never understood the purpose of them really. Yes, you can mix and match shades, wear them solo, its portable, and excellent for makeup artists, but I don’t find them functional for everyday life. I’m not trying to paint a canvas like Bob Ross, lol. I enjoy my lipstick one shade at a time, and in a tube, which I think would have been a more successful venture for Judy if the shades were sold individually rather than palette form.

ItsLipTime has twelve flattering shades that compliment all skin tones-ranging in pinky nudes, deep berries and reds. Not all of the shades are equally pigmented. I found the reds and berries to be the most pigmented from the nudes, they are much sheerer. The formula has a balmy, creamy texture making them comfortable to wear, and they provide a good amount of moisture for lips. The colors do not have long lasting wear though, about 2 to 3 hours max. I found these to be quite messy too during application. I wasn’t feeling the whole just apply with your finger thing. It most certainly is not easy. You have to create a bit of friction to warm up the hues. They are stiff and trying to build color out of the pans were somewhat time consuming, along with removing lipstick color off my finger tips. Yea, you could say I was irked by the entire process, lol. I’ll just stick with a simple tube of lipstick. That’s me wearing fierce by the way. As for ItsEyeTime?! LOVE! The neutral eye flattering palette contains twelve shades that you can play up or down effortlessly from day to night. There are four shimmer and eight matte shades. All are equally pigmented. Now, I have no problem dipping my fingertips into these gorgeous pans. The formula is super silky, has great pigmentation, they are blend-able, highly build-able, apply evenly, and are easy to apply-with or without eyeshadow brushes. The color payoff is fantastic! My lids stayed fully pigmented for 10 hours with lots of pearlized shimmer. I didn’t even reach for the primer! You can use primer. Don’t think that you can’t, lol. The shades do stand out more, especially the mattes if they seem a touch muted for your taste. I’ll tote this around anytime! Not that I need to, the staying power is pretty incredible.

Duh! I almost forgot! Both palettes come with a detached mirror for custom placement, and in the back of each palette you will find the shade names to your favorite colors.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm Review:

I want to own all seven shades of Pixi’s Shea Butter Lip Balm glamour babes, and so might you by the end of this review. I’m completely hooked.
I know these lip balm’s came out quite some time ago, but an oldie yet goodie such as this one deserves recognition. If you love the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments ($24) then you’ll come to appreciate Pixi’s, which you can get at Target for $8. That’s a $16 savings right there! Oh, and they have an untinted version too, just like Fresh if you need an overnight treatment while you sleep, wink. I’ll be picking that gem up real soon, possibly even tonight. I still have plenty of Christmas shopping to do. The two of these are pretty similar if you ask me. They provide the same beneficial ingredients such as Shea Butter, Castor Seed Oil, and Vitamin E to nourish, soothe, and protect lips. Both also carry a lovely sweet sugary scent that you have to refrain yourself from eating because it smells so darn good. The one minor difference, Fresh has an SPF, Pixi does not. This is still an amazing dupe to consider if your lips need a little deep conditioning and colorful tint during the winter months.

Ripe Raspberry is a beautiful vibrant reddish fuchsia that makes the complexion come alive. Something I totally needed.Although richly emollient with Shea butter and vitamin E. The formulation is surprisingly lightweight, has a creamy, silky texture that glides on smoothly, wears comfortably, produces beautiful pigmentation like a lipstick, and adds a balmy satiny finish.

The cold weather has literally sucked all of the moisture out of my lips, leaving them horribly dry, cracked, and irritated. Pixi’s Shea Butter Lip Balm seriously saved the day, I take it everywhere I go. Not that I need to. The color lasts for hours as does the intense hydration. I love, love, love. I don’t know what I’d do without it right now. My lips have been brought back to life. They are soft, smooth, supple, and no longer have that dry, tight uncomfortable feeling.

I can’t wait to play with my liquid lipsticks again! I bet they miss me, I sure miss them, its been awhile.

Have you fallen in love with Pixi’s Shea Butter Lip Balm? I knew you would. It was all a matter of time, and proper convincing lol.

Stay beautiful, xo.

Pixi Beauty Overnight Glow Serum Review:

Skin looking a little lifeless or dull? Do you have dark spots that just don’t seem to wanna go away? Does your skin need some evening out? Then you need a bottle of Pixi beauty’s Overnight Glow Serum ($24 for 1.01oz glass bottle) glamour babes!

Let me tell you what this holy grail of an overnight serum can do for you! I sound like such a cheesy salesman right now, don’t I? Lol!

*Formulated with 10% Glycolic Acid and Arginine, the two gently exfoliate the skin as you sleep, and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and fade dark spots over time revealing a brighter complexion.
*Cucumber and Aloe Vera Extracts soothe skin during the exfoliation process, and vitamins A,C,E nourish.
*Gentle and effective for all skin types.
*Vegan and Cruelty Free!

Put it all together and what do you get?! A clear, lightweight, medium gel like textured miracle serum that is sitting on a Target shelf waiting for you to take home.

img_2364I love this stuff, and I cannot believe how well it works. My skin is oily, sensitive, uneven, and acne prone with a good amount of acne scars, which is only because of my doing. I am a picker, such a terrible habit, I know. It’s ok though, I have Pixi’s overnight glow serum taking care of everything. You only need to use this at night, anymore than that and I think it will dehydrate the skin due to the Glycolic Acid. It absorbs quite quickly when applying, and does not leave skin feeling super tight or irritated. I have been using this for a few months now, and the skin transformation is unbelievable. It didn’t happen overnight, but gradually overtime you will see the payoff. My skin has a more even, brighter, smoother feeling/looking complexion, and my acne scars have diminished by 85%.

You can layer skin care products with this facial serum if need be, a little goes a long way, remember that. One bottle so far has lasted me about three months. I use the overnight serum with a Benzoyl Peroxide acne cream, and it still surprisingly moisturizes my skin nicely without causing more breakouts, or creating dry skin patches for a concentrated gel. My only issue is with the glass dropper. When dispensing the serum and putting the dropper back in the bottle afterwards, there is a lot of product that remains outside of the dropper, making a bit of a mess, and product loss. My tip and trick to you, is to use the serum that clings around the dropper, and then put it back in the bottle. No mess, no waste! You’re $24 investment of pure liquid glow is safe.

Have you tried Pixi Beauty? What’s you’re favorite Pixi skin treat that has you glowing with glee? I can’t wait to share more of my favorite Pixi Picks with you! And there’s many.

Stay beautiful! Xo.

Sonia Kashuk Sahara Sunset Highlighter Palette in Arabian Dreams Review:

Get a taste of Morocco glamour babes with Sonia Kashuk’s Sahara Sunset Highlighter palette in Arabian Dreams available at Target ($19.99). The limited edition spring 2015 collection was inspired by the Saharan Sunset Ms. Kashuk experienced during her recent trip to Morocco. Formulated with porcelain flower for antioxidant protection and vitis vita; a concentrated oil soluble that is extracted from red grape marc, which is a grape residue that helps rebalance skin protein levels, improve cell detoxification, and increase collagen production. Okay, that’s enough science for one day, let’s get right into the makeup features of this gorgeous palette shall we? Sonia Kashuk’s Sahara Sunset Highlighter is housed in a black and gold striped compact with a terracotta back equipped with a full size mirror (perfect for you selfie lovers). Inside your compact you will find four exquisite colors ranging in shades of warm gold, wearable nude, sun-kissed coral, and a soft peach. The highlighter palette is a soft powder that has a satin matte finish with subtle shimmer.

This palette can easily serve as both a blush and highlighter. When swirling all four colors together I got a little bit of everything. The gold and nude shades created my highlighter, while the coral and peach tones accentuated my cheekbones with a pop of color. I am fair skinned and the good lord did not grace me with the ability to tan (boo!). But thanks to Sonia’s highlighter palette I get to have my very own sun-kissed beachy face that stays well put for hours (8 to be exact). The colors in this palette are intensely pigmented, so if you are heavy handed with your highlighters you don’t need to be with this one; less is more. You can also apply the nude and gold tones of the highlighter to your eye lids and lower lash line for an eye opening moroccan experience. As for the hoidy toidy skin ingredients that will supposedly increase my collagen, detox my cells (seriously?), and rebalance my skin protein levels (again, seriously? I don’t even know what that means), you can scratch all of that out. Unless Sonia hid a spa underneath her highlighter palette that I am totally unaware of I saw nothing of the above take place onto my skin. What I actually did see taking place was Sonia’s highlighter palette dressing my skin with the beautiful colors of morocco creating one dreamy complexion with every brush stroke. I hope this inspired you to create a shimmering journey of your own into Sonia’s Saharan Sunset. Stay beautiful! Xo.
